I am going to do an eyelash extension course so have been looking around, but like anything, most companies offer slightly different things in their packages. I appreciate that this is due to differing techniques, but to help me out a little bit, I was hoping a geek could tell me what is REALLY needed for eyelash extensions and the bits that are great to have but arnt really immediately necessary.

Thanks

You are right every company will advise slightly different to the technique that is used to prepare the lashes and apply the extensions.

If you mean semi permanent eyelash extensions?
you would definitely need tweezers, Primer (to remove any oil or protein), lashes, adhesive, sealant and remover as well as surgical tape, microbrushes and jade stone (or other means to hold the adhesive) and i would highly recommend the gel pads as they make such a difference for the comfort of the client.
You should also have some eyewash at hand and the usual sanitizer to keep your tools clean. Other than that you would need client record cards for the consultation and accredited training so that you are covered by your insurance for the treatments.

Hope this is what you were looking for?

Add to that lot a beauty couch, mag lamp, couch roll, comfortable cushion for clients legs, neck roll, trolley to put products on, gas lift stool or chair and lots of patience and practice! Bear in mind what couch you buy if mobile - go for lightweight!

Eyelashes are very up and coming - I have lots of returning clients for maintenance - definitely worth adding to your services.

Hi

I am mobile and use a mag lamp on a stand - it s a bit heavy but worth taking with you - can't see to do the eyelashes without it!:)

i have been ok without a mag lamp so far but most places have been well lit. i am thinking of one of those headsets with a light on has anyone used one? are they ok? xx

Hey

I have just bought one and its really good!! it has different strength magnifying lenses and a lamp. It looks a bit sad but really does te job!!! I got it on ebay for £9.99 plus £3.00 delivery. It came withing 2 working days.

Look at AH Francis. Its definitely one of the best!!
