mmmmm "general dog's body " springs to mind

think i'm gonna use that title from now on collin!!!!

I call myself a holistic and beauty therapist

(Lucy Locket i used to work for clinque )

beauty therapist - ive found that calling yourself a beautician cungers (sp) up dim blondes - i am blonde - be it out of a bottle - but BEAUTY THERAPIST sounds better imo
Funny you mention this Glynis, because I hate being referred to as a 'beautician' :irked:. It makes me shudder because IMO it sounds cheap and also conjures up thoughts of dim bottle blondes with ruby red lippie, false eyelashes, over long nails and a black beauty spot next to the nose. Eeeww!

I am a beauty and nail therapist and bridal make-up artist.

arrgh not a beautician as someone suggested sorry!
i hate it, a beautician is not a qualified therapist it's someone who works on a counter in a department store.

don't get this wrong i am aware some people are qualified make-up artists in departments stores

no anything but a beautician! I didnt spend 3 years at college to be called that! Its true what you all say. I think red lips, 198O and big hair!lol 9 Lol

Well I'd forgotten I'd ever written this thread, lol!

I am now qualified in CND Acrylic L&P, waxing (I perform intimate waxing too), spray tanning and I am an apprentice Hairdresser.

So. Did I come up with something to tell people?

Well, yes and no  I tell them I am a Nail Technician who also specialises in intimate waxing. Then I give them my business card which has it all on there, my website address and telephone no. too

I still don't think I'm qualified to tell them I'm a Beauty Therapist (no way a Beautician!) as I don't do facials, massages etc, but I think this gets the message across quite nicely :)
