Hello everyone

Here goes, my first critique request.

I put these nails on my cousin for 'free' as I needed some images of my own work to put on the salon website (new job!!!). I have now got the jitters about them, I would really appreciate all of your comments before I decide whether or not to give my memory stick to my boss.

Thanks in advance for any comments x

thats a great photo, nails look respectable enough to me only problem that i notice is the little nick at the side of [i think] the ring finger.

could you maybe edit a bit to touch it up on the photo.

Thats a great photo i love the nails !

They are pretty enough nails, but as Angel Fingers has said, there is a little nick & blood seeping onto the nail. Not a good pic to show your work, only because of the blood hun x
If you want my opinion, get another pic, now she's stopped bleeding and do it again.
We all give a nick now and again with the file, especially if it's new one, it's no big deal but do try not to use new files around soft tissue area. If you do managed to 'nick' your client with your file, be sure to disinfect your file and either give it to the client or throw it away.
I bought a 'Styptic Pencil' from Boots, from the men's shaving section. It looks for all the world like a lip salve. It stops bleeding dead! Just use a moistened cotton bud and swipe it over and back on the styptic pencil, then apply that end to the nick, hold in place for a few mins - job done.
Be sure NOT to place the styptic pencil directly to the clients cut, always use a new cotton bud each time you touch the pencil. I soak mine in my citrusoak pump bottle, then rub onto the pencil. I cannot find my pencil though, it's been ages since |I nicked someone, but I did it the other day & just had to hold a cotton pad against it - just shows how often I use it!

Ooooh that's a good idea will have to have a nip into town in my lunch break, thanks for sharing that.

Good point about the blood, I have to admit that it was me, will edit it off later! Mind you she was an hour and a half late for her appointment and I had gone into work especially to do them on my day off, so they were done in record time (for me anyway!) I'm making excuses now aren't I lol.

Sound advice from you all and greatly appreciated, thanks x
