Hi ya,

I'm currently training to be a nail tech and am doing a course at the weekend on eyelash perming/tinting in order to start my own mobile business. I am also wanting to train in the lash extensions and have done quite a bit of searching the net.
I have found a company in Hove called lash&thread, has anyone heard of them or trained with them? they look fine and are alot cheaper £160 for a 1day course! the other one i like is either lashperfect or nouveaulash (about £390) which are a lot more but may well be worth it....
Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

I haven't heard of the lash & thread one but i do suspect that for £160 it will not be the single lash extensions but the cluster lashes,
i would look into it in more depth before paying anything out,
if you use the search facility at the top of this page and type in "lash extensions" you will find lots of posts with views on different brands, hth

Hi, I know money is always an issue when you are setting up on a new venture, whether its starting off from scratch or adding another treatment to your business, BUT make sure that the company you would be training with is accredited and has got a good reputation.
We get so many unhappy therapists that have paid xxx and are not happy and then having to pay more to get the training put right so its definetely worth going for the right company in the first place.
there is a lot of help on salongeek. just google what the therapists that are already using the products or have been trained in them think of the different brands and also make sure that their products hold the necessary MSDS sheets, certification and are medical grade as there is a lot of grey imports from China with pretty much useless adhesives etc.

Hope this helps

I think I would be a bit wary of only paying £160 for lash extension course. (although I havent heard of that company so cant comment on them specificly) Lash extensions are a premium service, and to get top quality products etc you should prob look at paying more for training. The last thing you would want is to ruin your lash business before you get it off the ground:lol::)
