Hi everyone,

As you know I am new to all this and have thousands of questions i keep thinking of!

I want to train with gels and am interested in bio sculpture and calgel (mainly because I dont know of any others and i have heard really good things about both of these) I kinda get the concept of a 'buff off' gel but I am confused as to what gels/brands do 'buff off' gel.

Does this make sense??

Thank you :D

Ezflow Geli It! CND Brisa, IBD gels, NSI Balance,

There are loads more that I can't think of at the moment, most companies will have a buff off (hard) gel x

Aaahh, thank you.

You can tell that I am completely in the dark about the whole industry! But this is the place where I can get the right help and advice from to ensure I do the right thing and learn the right thing!! :lick:

Ask away we were all beginners once! x

WOW!! that artical is really good! has made gels seem a bit more understandable! I still want to use a gel that is kinder to the nail rather than 1 that can be quite harsh and damiging.

Is 'extending with free edge' the same as 'sculpting' but by a different name?

Thank you :D:D:D

no gel is unkind to the nail, however the techniques used to prepare the nail and maintain the product may cause damage, so might the clients abuse of the product. any gel product bady applied and maintained will affect the nail adversely, its all down to the skill of the user and cooperation of the wearer.

extending the free edge may be acheived by either sculpting or the addition of a preformed plastic tip.
