This way i get full coverage:
- Apply 1 coat of CND Shellac color (on the CND Shellac basecoat, or on L&P or on gel.
- Cure the Shellac for 90 sec.
- Apply a thin, even layer of foil glue
- :Look_righ Cure the glue for 2 minutes
Be readdy and work fast: apply the foil over the nails
- Topcoat the foils, cap the free edges and cure.
Have fun!

I think it can depend on the foil. I have a few of these holographic effect foils and they feel very light and flimsy but seem to work better. I have a leopard print foil that I was very excited about but I have never managed to get full coverage with it and it does feel thicker. With the holographic effect foils you can get away with doing a bit of patching up as the pattern is very forgiving. I also use a matching colour of shellac underneath to disguise any small gaps so even though it looks like full coverage it isn't really.
I don't use glue but rely on the sticky inhibition layer of the cured shellac. I have the foil ready cut to size and gently press it on. If you press too hard you can take the stickiness away - also if you go over the little bits you have missed make sure that there is foil on the paper - if you randomly press your piece of paper onto the nail you sometimes press paper which has no foil left on it and this can 'rub away' the stickiness of the inhibition layer. Hope that makes sense!
