I thought this thread would make us giggle.

Well, it must have been the time I put washing up liquid in the dishwasher! I was doing my daily clean up and as I am a bit of a neat freak I thought I'd use those famous fairy suds to make that metal shine. So in it went and not just a little squirt either, one BIG BLAST of the stuff. So on the dishewasher went and all was for a few minutes. And then...well you can all guess what happened next. All over my beautifully mopped floor, under the cupboards. It was like a winter wanderland!!

Yep, definately the dumbest thing I ever did!!!! LOL

Plugged in the deep fat fryer - popped it on the hob and lit the gas and then went about my business while it heated up!!! didn't notice until the whole thing caught fire! silly me:o

My husband and I were packing the car up once and he handed me the keys to lock up and I locked the car then put them somewhere safe ( I thought) He later asked me where I had put the keys as he needed them. I could not find them anywhere at all, I was totally blank about what I had done with them. We searched everywhere. Anyway, turns out i'd put them in the fridge of all places!!! But I had just had our 2nd son so I blame it on that! Not exactly the silliest thing I have done but pretty brainless nevertheless!

Where do I start. Lost my glasses, turns out I put them in the fridge

... did my permanent makeup training and the pigments are held in little bottles with pipettes to dispense it, forgot about this and poured out half a bottle which went everywhere.

... When I was twelve I was hit in the eye with a hockey stick which caused a traumatised cataract. About 8 or 9 years ago I had it operated on. Well when it hearled I put my contact lenses in as normal and I couldn't see out of it. OMG I panicked, I thought something had gone very wrong with the artificial lens they put in my eye. Someone from work very kindly picked my up and took me to casualty. Waited there for ages and finally got to see the specialist and very baffled asked me, why have you got two contact lenses in one eye. I'd only put a lens in and then put another IN THE SAME EYE!

... or the time when I used to wear glasses aged about 11 and I wnet into a bakers on a very cold day and my glasses steamed up when I went in. I had a row with the assistant as she wouldn't serve me the chocolate eclair I wanted, wasn't til she got them under my nose that I realised they wre cream doughnuts

I'm sure there are more

Oh yeah, the time at school I laughed at the headmistress and said to my mates, smile girls it's Babs, only to turn round to her hubbie glaring at me.

In fact I think this whole thread can be dedicated to me!!!!!!

my dad sent me in the cubuard when i was younger to get the tin of elbow grease out, i was to scared to say i couldn't find it and was in there for ages. x

when i was about 6 i put nail varnish on my eyebrows. a sort of coral colour it was. then i realised it was harder to get off than i had imagined and i can remember having to scrub with fairy soap until i nearly bled ! why did i do that !!???

where do i start i allways do stupid things all the time...poured milk in the kettle, juice on the boys cereal all in the morning i am totally not with it in the mornings at all.
i should be a natural peroxide blonde cause i have blonde days every minute (no offence to blondes...lol) cause my dumbness is every day of the week

i have blonde moments regularly, only sharing one with you though! turned up at a party- a day too early, lol.:o

the dumbest thing i have ever done....................................
marry my first husband, lol:lol:

there are quite a few but I'll share just the one lol....
I went on to a deodorant stick a couple of years ago instead of spray because i was always using hairspray on my underarms and deo on my hair :o

When i was serving someone a drink at work, I had the bottle in one hand, glass in the other and tried putting ice in the bottle and ended up all over me!!!!!! :o Ive done it a few times now!
When we had a power cut when I was younger, my dad always said 'put telly on Sam', and like an idiot went and tried switching it on!

Daftest thing I ever did was forget where I parked my car in a multi storey car park. Duuurrrrrr. Fortunately this family took pity on me and piled me in the back of their car with their kids and drove me round and round this car park till I found my car. Not very big on the brain cells me.

The other day when i was warming the oven up i realised there was a pan on the top shelf, and took it out. thing is, the oven had been warming up for 10 mins and i didn't have oven gloves on! DER!!!! spent half hour under the cold tap and still ended up with a painful blister! and all because i was trying to impress my bloke ... i really should just stay out of the kitchen.

Probably when I put the knife  that I used to prepare my son's sandwich in his lunch box. He said he had to hide it quickly during his lunch hour!

Left my milk in the car for 3 days. Luckily it was during the cold weather so the milk was still fresh!

OMG im almost too embarrassed to tell you - my husband used to be a service technician and had to go all over the uk, and one day as I had a day off I went with him to Wisbech. Driving down all these country roads I looked out of the window and said "look at that man, he is just standing in the middle of a field pointing. I wonder what he is pointing at?". Turns out it was a scarecrow. My husband nearly crashed the car laughing at me. Well I have never seen a scarecrow in real life you know! Only worzel gummidge on the telly when I was little. Lol, Oh the shame......:o

parked my car in the multi storey and went to work 6 hours later went back to car to find it locked with the keys in ther ignition and the engine still running, I had picked up my bag in the car, my spare kets were in it grabbed them got out and locked the door with the key as the zapper doesnt work on the spare set. very annoyed car park attendent and very red faced me:o . turns out i couldnt have made thjat mistake if the zapper was working as the alarm would have gone off or something.
