Hi

Just wondering what your pot is set at? I'm still at the practicing stage so i'm always twiddling at something

my hive wax pot is at about 3/4 and my hive roller wax is about 3/4 aswell

i was waxing eyebrows the other day and i tested it on her arm. she was happy with it. i took the wax out the pot, waved it about before I applied it to her brows and she felt it was to hot.

i feel my wax could be hotter as its not going on smooth like the girl who does my legs does it

If it's a hive 1000c heater with warm wax then number 3 is usually plenty warm enough.
The thinner the skin the more you will feel the heat, so it probably felt warmer on her eyebrows. Also, if you wax over an area that has already been waxed then this can feel warmer too :)

Hi I have a hive 1000cc heater and to melt I whack it up full temperature, that's 5/6 ish if I remember correctly. On a running temperature for warm wax I put it on a 3. Some times I find this can get a little thick and cool in which case I turn it up slightly to around 4. Its all experience hun as I am finding out! Hth x

I think this is down to experience and technique rather than wax temperature. It takes a little while of practising before you can get a really smooth spread x

It also depends on the type of wax you use, and how full the pot is.

And how your pots thermostate is behaving! I need to get a replacement as currently needs to be about 4.5 / 5 or sometimes 6 to get warm enough!

As the others say, it depends on a lot of factors....your heater, how full it is, which wax you are using, how warm the room is (especially in the summer in a room with large windows).

Once you get to know your wax you will be able to see the right temperature by looking at the consistency and find out which setting is the best, but there is never a permanent set temperature and even the best waxers of the world are having to turn the heater up or down occasionally
