Is this a serious question???
I'm sorry to be a negative nelly but how long have you been a nail tech for, as your profile does not say much about you.
There is not one form of enhancements that are better than the other as there is not one single client that is the same as another!
Also a nail tech might be great at gels, and terrible at l&p. It doesn't make her any less of a tech does it?
Same goes with fabrics and all others.
It depends on the tech, the training, and the client.
firstly it's negative nelly not belly!
It also says in your profile that your a nail geek and then says your not but are looking into it?
anyway, i believe L&P requires a different type of skill than Gel.
It's sort of like learning to drive an automatic car instead of an auto. Do you know what i mean? I think doing Gel first would be taking the easier way and you will get far more business doing both and being skilled in both. Can you get into a course that does both?
Ultimately it's your decision because if you have no interest in L&P then your not likely to finish the course in it. All it comes down to though is you will make more money with the more skills you possess and services you offer.
I offer mani's, pedi's, gel, and L&P but would dearly love to learn fabrics as some clients may benefit from fabrics over gel or L&P. I will get there, and so will you.
Once you've finished training you will understand what we are all on about.
Good luck
