I would like to do waxing training and after reading a few different threads i'm undecided what to do. Do people think the roller system is the best to use? If so is is best to train straight away with this system or do basic strip wax training first? I'm a bit confused about it all so would like to hear other peoples opinions
Thanks x

You need to first gain a basic course with pot and spatula and once qualified you will then be able to move on to othertypes.Your basic training will give you all the information for you need to do this.

It's always essential to know the basics, and it's useful to have a pot and spatula anyway. That way if your roller system breaks down, or you run out of cartridges, you have a backup.

Totally agree with Calla and Pure. Learn to use a spatula and you'll alwaus have something to fall back on and you'll be able to wax any body part, which isn't always possible with a roller. xx

Thank you for all your replies, gonna have a look on the internet at different brands and training. Which brands are peoples personal preferences?

I use Clean and Easy's hemp wax for sensitive skins, babyliss satin smooth coconut and arnica hard wax, and echinacea warm wax. I like them all, but am happy to try new ones to improve the service and client comfort.

I use Hive's Honey Warm Wax, and then Babyliss Satin Smooth Coconut and Arnica Hard Wax for female intimate and Perron Rigot Euroblonde for male intimate

HTHs xx

I trained with honey wax - spatula and pot and i would say it was probably one of the cheapest waxes around. i think once you can work with the cheaper and sometimes more difficult wax you can work with anything. i now use tea tree wax with spatula and pot. i also use a fabric strip instead of a paper strip and all my clients comment on how gentle it is. Just a note on roller waxing - i have had waxing done with both roller and spatula myself and i personally don't like the roller waxing as i find the roller drags the skin on application. not sure if it was the therapist as i don't use a roller wax myself but i didn't like it.

have you been waxed yourself before - it would be an idea if you haven't to try a few places that use different systems to get a feel for it but it the end i agree with the other posts start with the basics

If the wax is at an optimum temperature it doesn't drag using the roller method.

maybe i might try it myself - always wondered. the day i had my bikini wax with the roller i taught the application was more painfull than the removal. i should look and try again maybe at the next show. have to say i love my tea tree wax... i think australian bodycare do a rollar range ... interesting

thanks for that

Yes i get my bikini wax where they use Australian Bodycare roller which i find is ok. Decisions decisions.....!!!
