Hi all, i am currently looking at retraining (sculptured) in Acrylics in the Manchester area.

I am trying to figure out who is best to train with as i feel that your kinda stuck with using their products after that!

Years back I used to use NCI 'Simplicite' but i didnt really like the product and as I had trained in Tip and Overlay and hand filing (which i hate) - wanted to go for a change this time round

I was thinking about 'Young' and 'Creative' products/training and wondered if any of you kind people could give me your views on these two?

I was particularly interested in young as they provide the sculpting and elec file element within their training...

But any feedback would be great...

Many thanks,

Tracey

Having used all three over my 7 yrs I'll give my two pennith. Simplicite is a basic system that didnt really help me as newbie despite the mentoring of Amada Rainsford-Jones, it hadnt been updated in years and I found the powders quite 'grainy' I learnt balance gel with them which I found terrible to get to grips with and moved onto a generic gel and l&P system.
I was introduced to Young and had great times with them the l&p is fantastic and the glitter and coloured powders are a dream to create amazing work. It has a great workability and a good set time. I use both xxx and speed but didnt find it speedy enough. Synergy gel is fantastic for beginners and I use this to teach with as it has a great range of consistencies and gives great long lasting results.
I started using CND powders and moxie as I was looking for a faster l&P and am very happy. at my pre-masters I converted to all the different CND powders and although I'm struggling a little with my pro-styler brush and the pink powders (as I worked a little wetter with Young) I whole heartedly recommend them. I had never had ANY problems with Young gel and had no desire to convert and only did so for my Masters, but I am so happy I have changed! My nails are beautiful, thin, durable nails! Its early days but i am totally in love with Brisa so all in all I am a CND girl!

Hi Tracey and welcome to the site.

Your question is one that is asked frequently and if you find the search button at the top of the page, you can type in training and read forever about peoples experiences.

You may also see that Creative comes out top every time and for very good reason. They are the best and offer the best training (award winning training) in the industry.

As for being 'stuck' with the products ... that would be the best thing that could happen to you. :green: As the products are also the best in the business.

For further CND information just ring 08452106060 to find Creative training near you ... they will send you all the info you want re classes etc. x

CND sure is the best for education x

Why not contact NSI and get a sample pack of the Attraction system - if i can use it anyone can!:o They do acrylic workshops (i went to my local one only a couple of weeks ago) and learnt how to get the most out if it. Might be worth a try if all you were unhappy with was the product. xx

hi hun best thing to do is get sample kits and try out for yourself
give lisa a ring at young nails 01253 699 999 she will sort you out with a sample kit.

im a young nails girl all the way x

I do not agree with this advise

Trying a product without training with that product and an educator to show you how is a recipe for disaster and failure. Neither is it giving any product a fair try. Mix ratios vary, prep varies and application techniques vary between products.

Investing in yourself is the best way to a secure future in the nail business so make sure you invest with the best you can afford. Even training with the best doesn't have to be expensive especially if you are retraining. I know that with CND, conversion classes are free and all you pay for is your kit which is never money wasted.

Not only can you get a sample kit but you could also go along to one of the brush up days which run throughout the year.

The brush up days are a good learning device to enable you trouble shoot and ask question.

Hope this helps:hug:

You need to look into this in great detail. It's not a decision to be made lightly.
There are MANY companies who offer EXCELLENT training and products but only by doing a really thorough SEARCH on the site will you make your own mind up. You need to think of what type of training you need.....you need a model not just for a day....
Hand filing?? It's NO PROBLEM at all. The APPLICATION makes the job so much better and easier.
For this proper training is needed..not just sample packs tbh. x
