Would you be happy going through the airport xray for people to see you naked?

Didnt know how to explain the title so sorry its long.

Manchester Airport are trialling this Machine that x rays away your clothes, stuff out of a comic book you'd think but this technology exists.

Basically rather than being patted down now they x ray you using low level emissions (but just how safe are even small doses? what if your pregnant?). The x ray removes your clothes so your completly naked. This is to check for weapons etc.

Now I am not a prude, and in my younger days have been known to streak :o. But after 3 kids I am a litle self consious.

Now they promise (we have all heard it all before!) that this data is viewed by one person only and is not stored on file and cannot be printed or copied. I find that hard to believe as surely they would need to keep some pics as evidence.

I'm sorry but no way do I want this to be compulsory. I know its safety etc, but I don't want people seeing me in the buff!

well I guess if needs must that some security guard has the misfortune to be able to see my todger well I feel sorry for him...

but I guess if it makes flying safer and im not gonna get blown up over Salford..well what the heck...look as much as you want

..after all were in the beauty business and bits of tackle are things we see every day of every week so I guess its a case of if you show me yours I will show you mine kind of thing LOL :lol::hug:

There's a fine line between heightened security and an invasion of privacy IMO.

If the x-ray machine however shows me naked, the security officer may be wishing he/she hadn't looked!

Maybe there will be a huge queue of voyeurs applying to get jobs in airport security???

i wonder if it picks up body piercings too:eek:

I dont care what they do if it increases security we are living in very scary times my sons best mate works in itelligence for the RAF He scared me to death on Saturday night with a few tales that the public dont get to hear about

Well I shall definitely be holidaying in The Lakes for evermore now!!!
This machine will do wonders for the UK tourist Industry ;)

It isn't compulsory, passengers have the option of either having the new xray scan OR being patted down by security staff. It's a 12 month trial.

The person who is viewing the xrays is in a different part of the building and won't be able to tie up the 'real person' with the xray pic.

I know we have a choice now, but for how long? You don't have a choice of being patted down (now I don't mind this but I always get the butch looking woman that look like they could kill you with one back lash of the hand !)

If its compulsory I am wondering if some people would stop travelling. And I don't care what they are telling me, that only one person in a room etc what if they have a mobile camera - I don't want my muff on the internet!

I really don't get what all the fuss is about this. Its an x-ray which is hardly "naked" ... having flown so much anything that means i can get through security quicker is a definate yes by me!

I know - but your a boy! Boys don't care about other people seeing your bits and pieces. Women hate stripping off half naked just for a tan in front of one other woman!! Its bad enough donning a bikini on the beach let alone being in the buff in the airport :green::green::green:!

I don't drink - but think I will do now lol!

Especially if their gaydar is good and they ask you to go into that side room with them because they have a "suspicion" about you... :green:

LOL true - for some reason I have a lot of gay clients though and I am not considered butch hehe!

Going off the subject - I went to Hulme to do training and my mum went mad saying how dangerous it was. Now anyone that knows hulme knows the worst that was going to happen was being hit over the head with a handbag because my shoes didnt match my trousers lol!

i think that as long as you have nothing to hide then wats the problem?
its security, and its not as if you are actually naked its just standing in front of a machine, as suicide bombers have started ingesting bombs ect so if this pics it up well done technology

It might even be good for picking up drugs couriers too (especially the ones who ingest bags of drugs only to poop them out when they get to their destination)...
