    Help with starting out please

I think Jessica is probably your nearest educator for Ez Flow product range. Polished Nail Salon & Education Centre Other top companies with good reputations are CND, Youngs Nails and NSI.

    Help with starting out please

I would recommend looking into a top company for proucts that do training. If your local college does courses, she can enrol there but the NVQ scheme is being quite shaken up at the moment. Here is a website for you to take a look at for some training and product information. Nails & Co -...

    Technicians who wear gloves

I have also very recently started wearing gloves as I have now become allergic to the product due to overexposure. My skin on my index and middle fingertips, for want of a better explanation 'melts' and peels. I am down to the thinnest my skin can be and it splits and bleeds so easily. I only...

    attempt at glitter acrylics

Try using a pre-mixed glittered acrylic. Ez Flow have some amazing clour / glitter collections and nsi are quite nie too. And do a design workshop with whichever you choose and then you'll get shown the best techniques and get good design ideas. xxx

    Calgel starting to lift!!

Have THEY been doing anything differently? Using oils / creams? Perhaps with the hot weather they have been applying sun lotion? I always advise my clients to use calgels own hand cream or cuticle oil and/or to avoid rubbing different creams etc into the nails. ESPECIALLY on holidays etc as...

Gggrrr ~ what am I doing wrong ~ nails still chipping!!

Try 'scrubbing' the nail with scrubfresh before applying the basecoat. It will get rid of any oils and should help it last longer. I would never give a refund for a chipped polish. It happens, unfortunately. If it is almost straight away after having it done and it SMUDGED, then I repair.

How to achieve this nail art?

This is airbrushed. You could replicate the sahpe of the design but the faded and overlapped areas are created with an irbrush machine xx

    Best brush

I have used the nsi brush but I musn't have cleared the brush from the liquid enough and it started to soak up the plastic handle and melt it!! I then began getting a reaction from the liquid as it was constantly on my brush handle. I tried using gloves but it melted the finger tip. This was a...

Do you wear rubber gloves, Safety glasses and a mask?

I don't because tbh I just don't find them pactical. I have used gloves on occasion and I wore a mask ONCE! A lady came to me who had her sister-in-law do her nails. She was at college and had almost completed level3. They were horrific!! 3x too long, way way way too thick, bad shape, no shape...

    Shellac from CND

The removal 'nappies' look brill. Clients can get another quick treatment done while they're working. EB wax / tint or something - might even offer a treatment at discount if booked with soak-off???!!!! Not like you can fit anyone else in with a soak off time that quick! The possibilities!

    CND White gel paint

You could try doing a layer of clear first and 'sandwiching' the white between two soak-off layers. I sometimes find the same problem with the 'dip' where the smile line is where the white can seem a bit chunky - I just overlay with clear to finish and build up the nail bed shape to even it out x

    Cheap nail stock

Same when I was at college. Perfect Nails are the distributors of Essie but I'm not sure about student accounts. Sally Salon Services stock quite a few ranges from cheap n cheerful to high end. You will still pay less as it is trade, China Glaze is a lovely brand which is reasonable and OPI...

How much do you charge for a nno brisa?

If you offer other nno's with different products then keep the pricing as close as you can. You will find people go for the cheapest rather than which system works for them best. I offer £20 for Brisa and £20 for Calgel but most people opt for the Calgel unless it is extensions they're after x

    CND White gel paint

Well Brisa isn't a soak off so it would not remove with the acetone when taking off the Calgel. Just out of interest, why do you want to? Whats wrong with the CGCW?

I have tried 3 brushes and absolutely LOVE my EZ Flow 508. I was always really down on myself when doing L&P but as soon as I started using this brush I had much greater control. Love love love love love it!!
