    Being made to do treatments!

This is everyting I hate about the Beauty Industry, been there before hun and I walked away from it (was in a position where I could) it's not fair on the clients or you! I agree with one of the posts, you should def think about going self employed, I have and it's the best thing I ever did, if...

    Semi Permanent Makeup-help please!

I am in the same position, looking to train in 2010 but yet to find a comapny I am happy with, let me know how you go. I would have thought the pigment is simular to tattooing so I doubt anything bad will be found later on about the pigment as tatoos have been going for years. Good luck x

    Marvel Lash Eyelash Extensions

I have decised to do Marvel course on 7th October, the otherrs are too expensive which is such a shame but also in case it doesn't take off, hollywood lashes can supply to me if I don't get on with lashes as well. Thanks for all your info. Did buy some lashes from boots that say they last 4...

    Individual Eyelash extensions

Thank-you so much for your response, it was very helpful, that is what I thought, we can get lashes elsewhere if need be. The course is £225 plus vat but that includes the kit so about the same. Noveau lashes is just far too expensive for me, especially if it doesn't take off, could you imagine...

    £85 a day room rental?

That is total madness, they are having a laugh with you. I used to rent a room in an established Gym for £100 a week! I now rent in prestigeous offices and pay £350 per month. It is ludicrous, advise is to not go there, I would want to be in the centre of Mayfair on the high street for that, and...

Waxing eyebrows with hot wax - advice

Hot wax has a knack to it, but once you've got it, you'll never go back. You'll find 'hot wax' now isn't the same as the old hot wax from years ago. I use Lycon and it adheres to the hairs and not the skin, therefore less discomfort and irritation to the skin, apply thicker than strip wax...

IPL hair removal machine - is it worth buying?

Try a company called energist and speak to Darren, he is very helpful. I have just re-looked into it and have decdided against it. The LPA (LASER ADVISOR) will charge £275 per quarter, the Quality Care Commission (was health care commission) will want £1200 up front the another £1350 set up then...

    "Professional" polishes or not?

Try The Edge polishes, they are in the trade catalogues, the 5 star top coat is great for french polishes and the glacier for any others, my clients say that they have never had a pedicure that has lasted so long! They also dry in a matter of minutes, the clients love that! Hope this helps.

    Newbie Eyelash Extensioners-Help!

Actually 375 doesn't seem bad at all, Marvel are 225 and I thought that was cheap, so if you can do it, I would probably do flirties, I think I will do Marvel first to test the water with my clients and if it goes well I may do the flirtie course, still unsure

Lycon Wax - is it that different?

I have used Lycon wax for 6 years now and I did try and come off of it as it was so expensive but found after using Lycon that no other wax compares, clients travel from far away to come to me because of the wax, the key is to not let it dry too much otherwise you will find it does break but...

    Longer lasting polishes methods?

Hi, I am using The Edge polishes which are ok, however a few colours bubble and it doesn't last as long as I would like it to. I have seen Sally Hansen has a good top coat that lasts a long while or I was thinking of doing airbrushing french polishes or uv drying top coats? I have looked at...
