    ASP products - help!

I've never used nail protector sealer. So can't help you there. The T3 gel is your base coat and builder gel. Just apply a very thin contact layer then cure. Then apply a thicker later for building. Do as many layers as needed but remember to degrease and prime the nail. When you buy the ASP...

    Gel extensions/sculpts

Cuccio pronto is a soak off sculpting gel. In loads of colours but the clear is a thick viscosity and good for shorter extensions and soak off us advarused at 5 mins I think!! So you can say 15 mins in reality.

    ASP products - help!

Hi Sharon Did you do your training with ASP??? I work mostly with gel as my asthma dictates the chemicals I can work with.. I've used ASP for 2 years and find it great. However there are a few things to know. No Hard Gel can be soaked off as they are non porous and do not let acetone through...

Confusion on overlay, builder & sculpting gels

I use ASP which is the same as cuccio. It's a great product but can feel rubbery.

Confusion on overlay, builder & sculpting gels

I think Brisa light by CND is popular in this forum. ASP also do a soak if gel.

    Problems removing UV gel

Salon services UV gel kit is a hard gel and can't be removed easily in acetone. If you soaked it until their fingers dropped off the gel would still be attached. I made exactly the same mistake years ago when I first started doing gel. Removal is by filing with a corse grit file then going...

Confusion on overlay, builder & sculpting gels

Hard gel is a term used for any buff off only gels and come in builder/sculpting/capping/base/top. And can be in any colour. Capping gel is usually used on natural nails as a strengthening product. Soft/soak off gel is a term used for any gel that can be removed via chemical breakdown...

    Embalmer gel polish lifting

Could the formaldehyde be causing problems, embalming fluid is pretty strong stuff and we all know how reliable gloves can be and sometimes porous.

    Anyone use ASP gel?

ASP is part of the Star nails/Cuccio umbrella of companies. ASP gel is a good gel to use but can feel quite rubbery when using T3. The pink T3 gel is a great consistency to work with but the clear is very runny. The ASP sculpting gel is by far the best out of them. These products are better used...

    Essential Nails products

Just bought some hard gel and L &P from en. Want to try them and see what they are like. Thinking of doing their acrylic course as I've done a foundation gel course and just want tuition in the acrylic application.

    Setting up mobile

When I do my mums nails at home, I use the ironing board with a plain cover and towels on it. Can also alter the hight and stick the cover in the wash. Stick a chair each side (job done). And if you've got one with the metal mesh test on the end - perfect for holding nail files.

    Daylight lamps

I use this lamp and love it. The only draw back is that there is no switch.

Recommendations for branded general nail polish

My fave is OPI. Applies well and does last well in the nails. China glaze is good for Christmas colours and different affects.

    Builder/hard gels and gel polish!

If your client wants to extend her nails and have chip free colour, then applying gel polish over acrylic or hard gel is the best way to go. There's nothing strange or abnormal about it. although generally standard nail polish sticks to enhancements better than a natural nail as it tends to...

The Edge or NSI-my ASP gel extensions are poor quality

I've had a client of mine in today who as only really had acrylic done. She's had gel a few times but found it to weak. However every time she has acrylic done it lifts within a week and that's even at a NSS nail bar using MMA. I applied ASP sculpting gel not T3 to her nails and after 2 weeks...

    Removing UV gel extensions

Exactly my opinion. Wish people would not refer to soak off as hard gel. Although I would like to try Brisa light to see how "HARD" waring it is. Hard gel non porous !!!!! Soft/soak off gel porous !!!!

The Edge or NSI-my ASP gel extensions are poor quality

Is it the balance gel. I have been tempted to try it but they have so many different variants and I find it confusing. I've heard amazing things about there acrylic.

    Sculpting gels

T3 is a lovely gel but tricky to get right as some people find it brittle or easy lifting but I personally don't find either with it .
