Any geeks with naturally long nails or looking to grow theirs?

I use Shellac on mine - I damaged my left index finger a few months ago and it's nearly grown out xx I in the picture it is Ruby Ritz xx

Logged on first time in ages, where have all the people gone the people I used to hang out with

I felt quite sad to see that a lot of the original geeks had not been visiting the site who I had many a laugh chatting to on an evening. Family circumstances prevented me from checking the site but I will try and be a good Snugglepuss and keep up with the posts now! It's not a bad thing having...

    UV Product Summary

Ok - I have used Shellac and the Brisa Lamp and everything is brilliant - no problems :Look_righ:D:Look_left But what I would like to know is, if you go under a UV sunbed, what impact does that have on the Shellac and other similar brands? I understand that the further away the bulb, there is a...

Shall I do the Minx & Shellac course?

Definitely Shellac then Minx - I've only had one enquiry about Minx recently (on the toes) and everything else has been Shellac xx

    What pet do you own?

I have four cats - three of which have problems with their legs and Rigsby only has his bottom two canine teeth (always makes me laugh that canine teeth in a cat). =^.^= From Left to Right Ribbon, Rhia, Roxy and Rigsby =^.^=

    Bad things and good things

I believe IMHO that the teachers are promoting the product that they believe is best for their needs and works for them (and that could work for anyone else used in the correct way). They can get the best out of the product that they use and if for any reason they should change they would...

Hunkydory Holo glitter - are you happy with them?

Irresistible Glitter imho is gorgeous - it's a lot finer than most glitters and the non-holographic glitter has almost a foil like shine, whereas the holographic glitter is really sparkly, especially in the day light :green:

    Cuticle away on feet?

Well I did say if I remembered rightly lol Had a quick look at the MSDS and it is Sodium Hydroxide in things like Sea Serum and Cuticle remover (don't know about Cuticle Away), rather than the salicylic acid that I thought! However, just a thought :green: Sodium Hydroxide is the chemical...

    Cuticle away on feet?

If I remember rightly cuticle erasers have salicylic acid in them. This should not be left on the skin for any length of time and therefore it could actually burn you or your clients skin. Again if I remember correctly this ingredient is the main one for removing warts or verrucas. Your...

Would you listen to your client's advise how to do your work?

From what you have said, I do not believe that you are wasting gel and that you are competent in the method you use i.e Brisa and a brush! I think that perhaps your boss wants you to do half a job and cut down on the amount of gel used so that she can keep up her profits. So the answer is no -...

    Cuticle removal...

... we all think that we can prep correctly and therefore we shouldn't have any lifting but Holly shows us exactly what we should be doing to remove the cuticle - check out the link below :green::green: Cuticles Just like to say a huge thank you to Holly as well

    Waxing pregnant clients?

Perhaps the Insurance Company are wary about insuring for waxing due to gestational diabetes??? Anyway I'm with Kim - if I thought a good old waxing in the nether regions would bring on labour I would have been waxed like a shot - as it was I went over up to a fortnight with all my boys

    Pedicure & Waxing

I would do as Lolly - one of the reasons why is that you will want to wax her toes (unless the lady isn't a hobbit unlike me who is lol) and I always manage to get a drip of wax somewhere where I don't want it to be - disaster if she has already had her polish!
