Had another go at l&p - (this my 5th time doing it)
Mixed ibd sugar glitter into white, don't know how much it will show on pics. I have noticed a tiny pothole on the smile line.

What do you guys think about my apex placement? Too far forward or OK???

hi there
i think your apex is too far forward and it loks like you are using far too much product resulting in a thick nail
apply less product all over, and place the apex back slightly

ps i would say to use half product of what you are using already
i know you are new at this so dont take this personally best of luck xx
hth x

it looks great well done and you can see the glitter in photo.
i think you could do with abit more product just behind you apex placement as it looks like its abit more of a slight hill rather than a curve (if that makes sense) this should also help to move your apex back abit as it is slightly to far forward.try to file your apex down abit as it looks like you have used abit too much product in this area i hope i havent offended you at all...its looking good though.xx

I agree with Blossom. Try to think of the curve of your nails as an almond.

Keep practicing and you WILL be there!

:hug:C

Nobody has offended me - I know apex is thick and forward. Thats why I mentioned it. Have filed it down and looks way better.

*sorry no pics - was hubby's finger and he would not keep it on a moment longer*

LOL - I have a very understanding hubby!

 i wish my partner would let me practice on him.maybe i should ask him and see what he says.xx
glad you managed to correct and that you could see where you was going wrong.keep up the good work.:)

Its not bad at all considering you haven't been doing it long.

The only way to learn is to get people to see and tell you.

Just remember, you don't need it to be thick to be strong, of anything if you make it too thick it can actually make it lift, because the nail loses it's flexibility.

Keep practicing hun.

The acrylic on the nail bed looks a bit yellow to me.
