Advice on models for Creative course

Hi all nice to join you
I've been looking through and found loads of information thank you. I have got in mind the foundation creative course at edinburgh as i live in berwick upon tweed. My only problem is that i am quite new round here and havn't got many friends yet and i think i may struggle for models. Does anybody know how may are needed. One or two would be fine but.......hhmmmm ....I think I'll shut up and wait to see if anyone replies

when I did my foundation course in 2007, we only needed one model. This was at the very end of the course. The rest of the time we worked on ourselves or another student. This may have changed and different academies may have different rules. Give sweet squared a call. They'll be able to tell you x

I think there are some Scottish members who are happy to model for nail enhancements on my Salon Guinea Pig site, Salon Guinea Pig - Find people for practising treatments, training courses, competitions, etc. - you can do a search for people who are happy to model for a particular treatment on there, and it can also sort by location. If you're a member on there, then it will also show how far away they are from you too. So if you are still short of models, hopefully that may help...

I did my foundation last year and only needed the one model - we did a lot of our practising on the nail trainer in class. Sweetsquared will be able to sort out with more info :hug:

I recently completed my course in December and I like ytou had a nightmare finding a model.... You need a model on day 3/4 and 5. Day 3 one requiring a full set, day 4 one requiring a re balance and day 5 one with a free hand and rthe other requiring a re balance.

I posted a notice on here and luckily I had someone who didn't live too far away that was willing to step in. Through that i now have a new pal that I can bleed info from and that can step in and do my own nails/pedicure ....

Maybe try that... you never know ...

Hello there, you do need a model for day 3, 4 and 5. If you find someone that is great, however, if you still have a problem we have a couple of people (former students who understand the importance of good, reliable models) who are sometimes able to make themselves available to help us out.

If you still haven't found anyone a week prior to the course, call Heather (The Blether) and she will see what we can do to help.

I would be up for being your model as long as it's on a weekend that I'm required! But I'm sure you'll get someone who lives nearer, but the offer is there if you are struggling.

I just don't know of anyone that already has nail extentions and requires infills
I need some friends don't I.......thats what living in a little village does but i do love it here!!
I'll do some snooping and see who I can spot with nails on lol

Hi Clare, you can use the same model that you use on day 3 as your day 4 is 2 weeks later and your model will need a re-balance. It just means that your model will need to keep her nails on for the 2 weeks. Then on day 5, you can use the same model again. If you have any problems getting a model wtc, please do let us know :hug:
