I have seen loads on here about techs basd mouthing each other or posting pics and slating them or under cutting on prices the list is endless!

However I can honestly say I must be blessed in my area! For example we recommed each other if fully booked for a new client, we have joined forces when arranging local charity events and I even do other nail tech nails... this is a good sign lets spread the nail love lol....any thoughts?

It is nice to get on! My sister in law is a nail tech and also does waxing and lashes and i recommend my clients to her for those services and i do her nail clients when shes on holiday - plus its nice to be able to bounce nail related ideas off people :)

Thats fab! Absolutely lets all ditch the New Year blues and get positive and spread the nail love lol

A really refreshing post. :) it's nice to hear other people recommending each other.

Great thread. I have never had a problem in my area with anyone badmouthing. I recommend others and they do me, depending on what treatments we offer and if we are fully booked. A couple of girls covered a bit for me during my back surgeries, 2 in 8 months, and all my clients came back so no poaching and we are all still friends.

If I see any new techs being silly with pricing I just ignore them, if I see bad work on a client by another tech then I just know they won't be around long. We have our fair share of in town salons who offer cheap treatments but they never effect my business so it doesn't bother me.

Time and energy is better spent on promoting your own business and giving your clients an experience they cannot get anywhere else. Build your business and your clients won't even look at any one else. :wink2:

In my area I know a home hairdresser and specialised waxer, through doing their nails we have taken each others cards and recommend our customers to each other. It really works as I've gained quite a few clients  x

Same with me ! I have a really good relationship with the local nail tec. She is fab and I send all my client who want extensions /shellac her way. And we also get together to do pamper parties too x

Lovely post x

i just moved to a new area, in my old area everyone was so horrible and when i first started up as mobile one lady i did said a girl at the local salon had said people are only selfemployed because they're too rubbish to get a job in a salon?! how about i dont fancy working for someone else... any hoo... i went to a charity event last month in my new area and this lovely lady came up to me introduced herself as a local salon owner and said she'd seen my posters and flyers around and wanted to wish me luck in my new area and she'd send any over flow my way... how lovely was that :D

Oh am moving to all of your towns.... It's not like that here sadly.

Nope not like that in my area either. I keep myself to myself and stay very professional, but I have recently heard rumours about some silly things another salon has been saying about my place and my staff.
Ho hum...... Ain't jealousy a beast! Lol! Xxx

I always had a good pro relationship with any good nail salons in my area. Never allowed any kind of comments about others work or standards ... We let our work and our standards speak for themselves ... And they did, loud and clear!
