Hello
I Read before on this about how to dye black/dark brown brows to blonde with the use of rectofil tint, is that correct?
If so what was the nme of it please??
a friedn of mine has turned blonde and has big heavy dark looking brows, which looks completely odd, want to help her (for selfish reasons...hahah canNOT stop staring at her cross looking brow's)
can someone please tell me how to do it, surely it is not as easy as just popping the tint on?? do i need to "lift" it first or whatever the hairdressing term may be???
Please help geekie's
There has to be some perk's to haviing us therpaists as pal's, this girl needs our help !!
- nowhere i kknow offers this service, neither hair salons or beauty, is this the norm in all area's????

You're not going to get them lighter without the use of bleach! Nowhere i know offers this service either. I know people that use Jolene creme bleach on all facial hair.
I remember watching an episode of America's Next Top Model. They bleached this girls hairs nearly white and apparently it's quite high fashion to have matching white brows. They used hair bleach
One- i wouldn't use hair bleach and
Two-they looked ridiculous

angelina, again - hey!!
no i wouldnt dare bleach the brows , i amnt a hair geek at all, can barely do a pnytail so ... i truly remember soe geek mentioning making blonde brows just wish i could remember who, how etc

It was probably Jolene creme bleach as that can be used on all facial and body hair :)

thats was mentiond in the thread indeed, but that want it, somebody mentioned rectofil etc and someone had a unique way of doing it, cant for the life of me remember nor find it on the search menu

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Refectocil do a bleaching paste but it will only lift 3 shades

if shes is really dark naturally you need to be careful you dont end up giving her orange brows! then she will look truly odd! you could always patch test an eyebrow or 2 with jolen bleach to see how far it lifts then you'll get an idea what colour they will go before you set about doing the whole lot!

Personally I would just do a very good eyebrow re shape, thinning the brows alone and putting a very nice sweeping arch can make a lot of difference and take away the angryness.

I personally would never use any hair dye/bleach on the eye area

I think there are a couple of options here. Use Refectocil bleaching paste but if they are really dark you will have to do it twice. 2. Use it once and then tint the eyebrows a lighter shade (brown). I have done hairdressing in another life as well and I notice that BT are very shy of using bleach. You have to leave it on long enough to get the lift. Only use special bleach around the eye area.

It's not that we are shy it's because we are NOT trained in using bleach around the eye, therefore not insured to do it.:green:

The reference was made about posts where BT have attempted bleaching but have not followed it though properly thus ending up with orange brows! If they are not insured to do it they should not even be attempting it.

I agree with Babsann thats its surely better to be looking at the shape. Many blondes have strong eyebrows indeed it is extremely fashionable at the mo hence the popularity of the HD brow.

i have checked with my insurance and i am indeed insured to use bleach on the face,
obviously i do not intend on doing it on paying clients just this pal,

essentia , you said
"Only use special bleach around the eye area",
1-is that the rectofil you mentioned then as the special bleach??
2-whats this rectofil colour called please??
3- is it mixed alone with the hydrogen?
thanks a mill

this is better than using jolen???

Are you qualified to carry out bleaching on the eyebrows though? We have to be trained in each and every area,so if you are trained in bleaching but didnt do the eyes under assessment this means you are not qualified and hence not covered.I only ask because we didnt do eyebrow bleaching in our level 2 just forearms, lip and chin.

babs, i dont understand the hole level one beauty level two etc as here in ireland we train differently to you guys
i have difff qualifications
i see what you eman about being assesed etc in order to be insured i must enquire, thanks a mill

Ah ok,just wanted to warn you in case you later go on to do a treatment like that on a paying client and then you may find you weren't covered if anything were to go wrong...God forbid:hug:

no you are dead right and i totally appreciate that thank you, am awaiting a phone call from my insurance company now
thanks a mill

anybody else with tips, stories etc please

Do it with Jolene. Mix powder and cream together as directed on box. Apply to eyebrows thickly, covering all the hairs. Wait about five minutes, then wipe of to check result. If their not light enough, repeat until they are. It's really easy.

If you do find them gingery, then repeating process can lighten them more or it you don't want to go too light, but want to counteract the ginger apply a quick tint of grey mixed with a tiny little brown.

Hope this helps xxxx

great appreciate that, heres hoping my unknowing pal appreciates my kind offer now!!
Thanks guys!
Does nobody else think it unusual that this service isnt apopular one, what with all us dark haired wannabe blondes???
