Apply lash extensions to yourself ?

hi. my daughter is booked on a hollywood lashes course this friday. do any of you experienced lash ladies manage to do your own lashes or is it impossible ? my daughter doesnt fancy booking in with our competitors just so she can have lashes herself but it would be a real shame if she cant wear them to promote them. any advice please. :idea:

the guy that trained me did is own and they were fab!! (he had alopecia and managed to get them on the tiny white stubbs he had, but he has been doing it for 10 years
i my self have been doing it 2 years and just about manage to soak any off that are hanging off and pop a few on to fill. but not very well!!
just to put me on til i get them done, (luckily me and my friend do each others,)
maybe she could find someone in the same situation???????????

This is a really good idea. Maybe there will be someone else on the course she can buddy up with?

Hi,
I think your daughter will find that on the course she will have her lashes done by a fellow student and visa versa, as when I did mine we paired up and practised on each other!

I have never even tried to do my own lashes, I get in a mess tinting them myself so wouldnt even dream of putting lashes on! :irked:

To do your own lashes is extremely difficult as you are working against a mirror so you have to think the other way around. It is possible if you are just applying the extensions but if you are wanting to separate and isolate the lashes its very very tricky and probably not something you will be able to do after a course.............Even the most experienced lash therapists find it hard after years.

It will be much easier if she swaps favours with someone else on the course and it will be much easier plus a lot safer and more relaxing!

I tried to do my own and gave up VERY quickly after nearly blinding myself! haha I now get others therapists to do them for me its much easier and i do theirs this way we get to keep our eyesight and dont have dodgy looking lashes!! haha,

some people can do them and I applaud them wish I could do my own. x
