Thread inspired by Suzie's fab article in this month's 'Scratch'....

Is anyone doing anything???

Yes!

Im giving 10% of my profits (after tax) for treatments and product sales to breast cancer research -

I've also ordered special pink ribbon glycerine soap from a lady who makes them in the USA .. they are so cute!! Im going to hang them and sell them to boost the donation Im making
Ive also ordered some pink ribbon charms and Im going to make some wine charms to present to loyal customers - Ill send this out in an SMS inviting them to come in an collect their wine charms

As 99.9% of my customers are women and 1 in 2 women are in someway touched by breast cancer (a number of my customers have shared their story) I think we are the perfect industry to show our support .. I'd love to get a fimo pink ribbon cane so that for the month of October I could wear them and offer it to some of my customers too
By supporting the cause I too hope that my customers will support me in supporting this cause.

My husband has a wonderful album called 'Long Time Coming' which he sells at his gigs (all his own music) and he also donates 20% (since the album was launched) from every sale to Breast Cancer Research as he has lost his Aunt and Grandmother to the disease. He will be donating upwards of 300€ tomorrow. www.myspace.com/anthonyhillsounds

So - c'mon ladies how about a Pink Ribbon nail challenge for the month of October?

Lets help SAVE SECOND BASE!

my family had a funday in memory of my niece who passed away nearly 2yrs ago when she was 14 of an asthma attack.last year we raised £4200 and this year we have already passed last years amount.its currently at £4400 and we still have money coming in.we raised this by doing activities for kids, competitions, raffle and an auction.we did this as my niece supported the charity.
good luck to everyone who is doing some fundraising its for a great cause.xxx

I've been asked to volunteer at a fund raising evening this week. I'm going to be doing mini hand and foot treatments, just a massage and nail polish. The 'clients' will be asked to make a donation for the treatments which will be donated to cancer research.

There will be a few businesses at the evening offering lots of different services.

I'm actually really nervous about the evening, I've never done anything like this before, but it's for a good cause so I'll be there.
