OHHHH help... I had such a dis- hartening day yesterday, I have only been qualified with cnd since june, and have been doing sculpured nails aswell as tips. I have a client whom I have been doing since then so she hs had full set of sculptured white and pink, no probs, went back and she only wanted a pink re balance and this was problem free, no lifting etc, only took me 40mins, you could not see were zone 3 ended I was well chuffed, she booked me in for 2 and half weeks later, (yesterday).

So when I got there again her enhancments were problem free and still beautifull looking, but I took over 2 and half hrs rebalancing them, and was not happy with end result atall... I think they were to bulky, and she wanted a diffrent white so I used a cnd metsal powder, city of angels I think, it was white but with chunks of glitter in, kind of chalky?? anyways I felt that I was working to dry, so added more liquid and then, was working to wet, I just could not control my beads of white. When I went onto zone 2 and 3 they were ,,okay but when came to shaping seemed to just come away from zone 3, only on certain nails?? it was really annoying, and I had to re-apply on quite a few. She was on meds for fungal inf for her toes, as she asked me to have a look at them and she clearly had an infection, and I said she need to see her DR, and she said she already on med of the DR, would this affect this??

Sorry guys, I hope I make sense xxx

You are going to have days like this. We all do! You seem to be doing really well so don't let this get you down too much. You will probably find that they don't look as bad as you think or remember them. :)

Ohh sheila, I felt like crying, I am only charging half price for month of august, so only cost her £9 for her rebalance and she gave me £9,,,, I felt awful, when I know I can do nice nails, I have done lovely set of terra cotta sculptured tips on myself, and I am much happier with them, than that of my lasies rebalance last night??? ohhh why why,, I wander when my nails will become consistant iygwim xx

I am newly qualified as well and passed in april of this year. I know what you mean on how disheartened you get when things don't go right and the more you try the worse and harder it seems to get to get the result that you want.

I am also doing nails on offer at the moment and are only charging £15.00 per set of new extensions. One day it took me 5 hours to do a set as they would just not go right at all, i felt so dis-appointed with myself when i left, all that work for £15.00 but i just don't have enough confidence in my work to charge full price at the moment.

Us new techs just need to get some confidence with our work and not take things to heart when things don't go right. From what you have said you are doing really well in such a short time, so keep your chin up put it down to experience and keep going and one day you will look back and laugh .:hug:XX
