Hi ladies!

Going through a nightmare right now with regards to buying nail supplies. I ordered from not one, not two, but THREE companies, two of whom DIDN'T come up with the goods, and one of whom who sent only 1/3 of my order. I ordered from them in JANUARY and despite countless phonecalls and emails they have neither responded nor refunded me. One of them told me upon two occasions that she had sent my order, but I've yet to receive it. She gave me a tracking order which turned out to be bogus. I have since tried calling and emailing her but she does not answer her phone or emails.

I've lost over £1000 between these three places, and unfortunately I left it too late to be able to get my money back via my credit card and paypal. I am now thinking of submitting their names to ripoffreport.

In the case of the one woman who did respond (initially), I do not know for certain whether I've simply been unlucky and her dispatches got lost in the post TWICE, and she somehow managed to give me an erroneous tracking order (stranger things have happened at sea).

I was wondering if anyone else has had any dealing with the following websites, and if so, what was the outcome?

NELPARA[Nail Care Online Shop in Japan! Offers professional nail supplies, foot care, and nail cares. Japan site ships worldwide.[/url]
(only sent 1/3 of my order)

NAIL DOLLY
(took my money and ran)[/I]

TRENDY PRINCESS
(claimed to have sent items, gave bogus tracking order)

Please understand, it is not my intention to slight anyone, or to offend anyone here and thus provoke arguments. If anyone has found these companies to be reputable then I'm happy for you (honestly). It's just that my personal experience of them has not been good :irked: and I'm damn livid about it!!!

I'm sorry for the troubles you have had but why not use reputable dealers right here in the UK for the nail items you want?

I'm sure that anything you want or need can be procured from a distributor in your own country where at least you are more protected and more likely to get a result if something goes awry?

I hear your story over and over again from people. They think they are buying cheap and it costs them dearly!

I agree with Gigi (again)

plus what I tested from the first link you sent (didn't order it but it's the same product, same pict, name, etc) was probably the worst 3d Powders I could find.

so well. from what I could see on these websites, you can easily find of of that near you ;)

hi hun

someone has already done it...ripoffreport aint holding back when it comes to naildolly....im so sorry to hear you have lost so much money. Its appauling in fact!

:( x

What system are you trained in and do you use? Your profile doesn't say. What ever it is there is no way I'd spend that kind of money on sites like that. I'm sorry you lost so much, thats very unlucky but it just goes to show that the only way to cover yourself is to use the official supplier:hug:

What sort of thing are you trying to order? If its for my l&p products where im spending alot of money I buy from the manufacturer, that way you know your getting the good stuff and if anything goes wrong they'll sort it. For consumables I tend to go to the local wholesalers and save myself the money on postage xx

Sorry for your troubles. I have ordered from Nelpra mainly magazines and lucky for me have had no problems, but thats not to say no one else has or will.

I have purchased loads of stuff from Trendy Princess and have had no problems, You must be an unlucky person, I don't know about the others I have not bought from them before.:)

I am not surprised about Trendy Princess.
I too, way back when, had problems with that one (for nail art supplies ONLY).
NOT very reliable.

I do know one that is VERY RELIABLE. Let me know if you're interested.

I agree buy in the UK. Not only does it keep us in a living but it also lowers the risk of things going missing and you being ripped off and its not always that much more expensive.

Hi again everyone, thanks for the replies. VHunter, I'm interested :)

I bought from these sites because altogether it worked out a couple of hundred squid cheaper than if I had ordered from places in the UK, because I was very low on funds (still am lol ). I had ordered from online companies in the past (admittedly not anyone in the beauty business), from all over the world, and had never enountered any problems, so I was pretty much lulled into a false sense of security.

The thing is, I had ordered from Nelpara several times previously, and nothing had gone wrong order-wise (although there's no doubt some of their products are of less than adequate quality...but I just put this down to trial and error). Thus, I had never needed to exchange any emails with them. As soon as I try to do so, I come up against a huge big wall of silence. :irked:

The resulting fact is that, with my first three overseas purchases (excluding nelpara) turning out as they did, my confidence in the validity of online suppliers in the nail biz has been seriously undermined and I haven't bought from anyone else since, except for my local wholesaler. It may be more expensive but at least I know I'm actually getting something tangible with my money.

It's dog-eat-dog here in the USA. I love it that you care about "the little guy" by supporting your country's business owners, making sure your economy stays strong with loyalty to in-country business owners -what a concept, almost non-existent here. Big-business, large chains, expensive franchises and giant shopping malls are what's offered where I live and if it's cheaper in China, that's where we shop. The days of the mom-and-pop shop (that's what we call them) are rare (except in smaller areas like West Hollywood) because they are just not able to compete for business, keep their prices competitive and make a profit. Sad, sad, sad! I commend you for promoting and encouraging everyone to buy in your own country, something I've not thought about since I'm always looking for the best deal instead. Thank you for such pearls of wisdom - I'm changed forever! ox kelly
