Hi everyone, I have just bought an Entity Gel start up kit but have a Brisa 27watt lamp. Will this cure this product correctly, it does say in the gel kit to cure using a 36 watt, am I asking a stupid question or will longer time with the Brisa Lamp be sufficient ??
Thank you.

Thank you.

Curing actually has nothing to do with wattage .. it has to do with UV output. The Brisa has low wattage but a HIGH UV output (due to the special bulbs in the lamp) and has been made to cure BRISA gels. Bria gels have less photo-initiators so the gel does not have heat spike. That is why Brisa requires more UV output to cure it.

Lamps are made to work specifically with certain gels. If the gel you are using has more photo-initiators than Brisa (which I'm sure it will) then the greater UV output from the Brisa lamp may produce a BIG heat spike!!! OUCH.

I would advise you get the lamp that goes with the system you are using.

The problem is Entity doesn't have a uvlamp for their system, at least not when I had a look at it.

Thats one of a few reasons I still use Brisa, honestly I tried the gel, ok results, but not as great as the results I can get with the brisa...
I didn't use my Brisa lamp though, I had another (don't recall the name)

I know it doesn't help much sorry...

Hi, I have used Entity gel with the Brisa Lamp, and it works just fine, and i havn't experienced and heat spikes.

I normally recommend to use a 36watt tunnel lamp when using Entity gels.

I wish they would bring one out of there own though :)

How strange for a company to bring out a gel product and then not provide a lamp to cure it...??

If a nail tech uses Entity gel on client and uses the incorrect lamp, it may lead to a service breakdown. It's almost a miss or hit and certainly too much of a big risk to take...?

I think I will stick with my Brisa gel using a specially designed Brisa lamp.

Exactly my thought.
And not just some company.. They are very expensive.

It is obviously not a very sophisticated gel if any old lamp will cure it certainly not anything cutting edge but more generic.

Well I have used both Brisa and Entity gel and i can honesly say IMO I don't see much difference between the two.

I have just been informed that any 36watt uv tunnel lamp will cure the Entity gel just fine, and it does the trick so i'm fairly happy with that.

Uh huh! Sure and we can all see chemical differences with our eyes now can we?

Brisa ... USP's

No formaldehyde
No acrylates
No gluteraldehyde
Hypoallergenic
Low heat
totally colour stable
L&P technology in a gel form
Lowest amount of photo initiators
Strength & longevity ................

to name but a few ... none of which can be said for any other brand of gel. All of which make Brisa unique and very safe for technicians to be using and a nicer experience for their clients.

I'm more than fairly happy with that.
