Hi all, i've recently finished training in L&P but im finding im getting bubbles on the nail, i've tried drying the brush abit so as its not too wet a bead but im still getting them sometimes when ive just placed a bead i can see a bubble in it. I have been practicing all weekend but there still there.

Any suggestions?
thanks
Kelly

Oh I remember them well lol...I was working to wet and not letting my bead rest before I started to work it.
If you know your not working wet are you leaving your bead to rest first before you work it hun...?

I'm checking it before i place it & i leave it to set before i work with it but there still there sometimes you can only see them if you look closely under the lamp & its not on every nail

there are a few things it could be.....either you have air bubbles in your brush ....when you first start completely soak the brush in monomer and press the brush flat in the dappen dish...you will see the air bubbles rise to the surface....then carry on as normal. Or it could be that you are rushing a bit.... when you place your bead on the nail give it a second or so to start to polymerize before you start to work with it (oops just noticed that you said you have checked this bit...sorry, lol!)

I also soak the brush in monomer before i use it, im going to back to the training school hopeful tues to see if they can help me on where im going wrong.
Thanks for your suggestions already

Hiya

This may sound like a daft question...do you notice the bubbles as you are going along or at the end? Reason I ask is that sometimes topcoat can bubble...just a thought

what system are you using?

Sometimes i can see the bubles as ive put the bead on the nail & other times its after im finished.

I'm using Entity

I would get in contact with your trainers and talk thru ur problems, x

I'm not sure whether this is correct or not, but I was taught that sometimes the powder could be the problem. I was taught to tap the powder container onto the desk before opening it.
If someone could confirm whether this is right or not it would be fantastic :green:

Hi, It sounds like to me in my opinion, that you have air bubbles in your brush. Make sure before and after use, that you properly clean and store your brush. (Do not store your brush upright)

I find air bubbles on a few of my nails also and have been told its from too much patting with the brush, trapping air...xx

Sometimes i get bubbles when i do my own nails, but I dont have the problem with clients nails, so im thinking it has a lot to do with brush control. dont overwork the prodcut and make sure youre always aware of how you're holding your brush; your angle and acutally what part of the brush youre using. you only need to use the foot (or toe, flags, etc... whatever you call them) of the brush to sculpt the nail, and dont pat!:) hth, good luck!!

Bubbles mean you are too DRY.

Get that mix ratio down, and use smaller beads until you do ;) Make sure that brush is prepped and conditioned properly before you use it as well. If you are unsure what that means, time to grab your products education team or pop in a video and some coffee, and take some notes ;)

Thanks everyone for your replies, went to see my trainer & showed her the tips i'd done on my nail trainer & they wernt as bad as i thought (just wanted them perfect) lol anyways she was saying i was prob patting it too much & i need to get a bigger bead for the area rather than keep adding to it so i'm just going to keep at it.

Thanks again
Kelly
