Hello
I did a set of nails lat Friday and the lady just rang to say they had bubbles in them???
I have been qualified just over a year and this has never happened before.
I preped, used scrub fresh. I put on velocity tips and used white for the smiles then pure pink for the other zones. I used a brisa gel top coat to finish.
Thankyou in advance for help

This has been discussed lots and lots of times before. The answer is that for whatever reason, you were working much faster than your product was setting so over wiping or patting has most likely caused this to happen.

You have to let the bead settle out before you start to press it out. If you are working faster than your product and are in a hurry, then use Moxie fast setting liquid.

Remember that a very complicated chemical reaction is taking place. You can see it taking place as the bead changes in appearance from a sort of 'wet sugar' look to a 'glassy' look. Don't touch the bead until you see the change take place.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly
I must say I am always worried about how long it takes me to do a set, its still 2 hours!!!! so the rushing would make sense.
When she comes in tomorrow do I just file them down to beyond the bubbles and re do?? I guess so.
I was reading another post about burning nail beds which you answered, I had a new client, I thought I did a beautiful set of nails, she told someone they itched, didn't like them and had them taken off and went to a local NSS salonand had a very unnatractive set put on !!! I was gutted, really take it to heart. I did use primer on her do you think that is what made her itch??

There is really no way to know. It is acid primer that CAN cause nail beds to burn but usually only when the nails are primed 4 or 5 times on thin damaged nails.

Maybe your client was making excuses as she just wants her nails done fast ... and jigger the consequences.

Taking things personally is not being professional. People have many reasons for doing the things they do and they are not usually personal but rather wht is 'easier' for them. They come and they go so get used to it and don't fret about it unless they are going more than they are coming! Certainly do not take things to heart! That is way too personal.

Thanks again Gigi, I could ask you sooooo much, bombard you ......
Ok I won't take it to heart, but I do care.
I work so hard promoting myself so its really annoying if I am too slow or make mistakes.
I will learn by my mistakes.

I sadly couldn't make your day in Bournmouth, next time I hope.
Anyway I think you are right, the lady in question wanted that certain speedy service so used an excuse, he ho.
Thanks again for your advice
Till the next time
ps found the other threads about bubbles so had a good read and am looking forward to sorting out this ladies bubbly nails

Bombard me if you like. I am at your service as I am for anyone who needs it. PM me if you need to. That is why I am here.

Fantastic thanks a million

Melons - if they want the speedy service then do them with PopIts. They get a fantastic shape enhancement too and out of the door in no time

Hello Theresa
Thanks for that . I had another practice with Popits the other day but haven't quite got the thicknesses right. I must practice more
I find if Zone 1 is too thin is tricky to go back and add more
Can you give me any tips?
Thanks
Mel

Hello
You have inspired me to have another practice.
I think I am faffing about to much with the product both in the Popit and doing a normal set. Its weird cos I didn't used to. So hopefully I will nip it in the bud.
Thanks for your help
Mel

I thought I would let you know how de- bubbling went...
Well, it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected which is good, infact I couldn't even see the bubbles to start with.
I have got pretty good eyes and even right under the light I could just get a glimpse.
As I filed down a few pin prick powder filled holes appeareed so I re did them
Thanks for advice about the bubbles.
I will be xtra careful in future
Mel
