Hello all love Calgel but am not happy that my cients are not happy with the time there french is lasting for the white starting to yellow. Does anyone have any tips for that

many thanks

Firstly you must not over cure the white, clear or lighter french colours so work in a way that you wont do this.

Also if you add a wee bit of purple to your new pot of clear gel this takes the yellow honey colour out of the gel.

Also you must retail calcrystal and the 240 buffer to them as they can then gently buff the nails and renew the calcrystal every week and this refreshes them.

It is particularly important for them to do all the aftercare in calgels leaflet as a few things do yellow the white.

I really stress and explain the importance of maintainence before i do any new clients nails with Calgel as it really need to be maintained and cared for probably more so than l and p and hard gels which they may have had in the past.

The minimum your clients should be doing is applying the Calcrystal.
Enforce aftercare with them, Calgel have aftercare leaflets so you could ask for some of those.

Is it just when using clear? That is quite bad for yellowing.

You could mix a small amount of the purple gel with the clear but if you dont already have one it can be expensive compared to just telling your clients to use the topcoat

I always use super clear in the top layer over the white. Super clear does not yellow...

I didnt think that you could put super clear on the natural nail??

i have one of the purple nail art colours from calgel can you use this purple and if so how much of it would you add to a new 10g pot of the clear gel.

Thanks:)

Thats true, its not meant to replace the normal clear its a top layer to protect and stop yellowing as Icelady said. It is also a bit tougher to soak off so buff it well first.

Hi, does anyone know if super clear is like Bio Sculptures S gel (very strong but needs to be buffing off? )

No i dont think there is any strength in it it is more like the uv top coats or finishing gels you can get in other systems it has to be used thinly or it goes lumpy in cure.
It does still seem to soak off after buffing but it takes a wee bit longer.I think its a bit of an inbetween soak off/hard gel and it is also slightly purple.
Must say i usually forget to use it not sure it makes that much difference.
