Hi Everyone

i am new to all of this and wondered if anyone could help with gel.

I wondered if anyone had any little tricks that they use when they catch the skin with calgel. At college we were taught to wipe the edges with an orange stick, but i have found that if you have a client with dry or rough skin this doesn't always work especially with the coloured gel.

i would be gratefull of any advice.

Thanks:green:

Hi. The orange stick method is what i use, that's how they teach you. are you putting calgel too close to sidewalls when applying? If it is on the sidewalls try using a lint free wipe with a little calguard on it to wipe.x

It sometimes just runs down onto the side walls.

I will give that a go with the wipe and calguard.

Thank you :)

I use the pink & white hoof stick that you get in your opening package if i find the product starts to run. I find though if you only do 1 or 2 nails at a time then cure them the next couple and so on you don't get this

Hi, were you tought to Wet the nail first? use a tiny amount of gel to rub into the natual nail and Wet the area you want your gel to go, then apply your layer of required gel. HTHs

Maybe you are putting too much on.Definately agree with Debbie as the gel will gravitate towards itself.Which it even does out of the pots if you don't keep your lids clean
