Can you perform a facial before tanning?

Hi there,

Just had a client that has asked for a facial before tanning, am I able to do this?

I can't immediately think of any reasons why not but thought I would just check and see if there would be if you know what I mean.

No hun i wouldnt. It will act as a barrier to the tan and could end up going patchy.Also your going to be opening up the pores and the tan will get in there.Not a good look lol.Tell her to have her facial 24 hrs before her tan. xxx

I would even say possibly up to a week before the tan. depending on if she is sensitive or prone to breakouts.
