Changing Colour??

Hi,

I have reciently switched to NSI attraction and have bought all of the technail colours.

I am having a wee bit of trouble when changing colours on an infill!

Am i being an absoloute plonker? i have just ha d a lady going from glitter to the hot pink, i know you cant switch from mega dark to mega light it has to be gradual but they are all one colour and then where she hd lost one it looks totally different!

any tips or just a shuv in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

was it just tips you did a different colour, or the full nail?

theres no reason you can't go from a dark color to a lighter color, to change tip color just backfill and file the free edge color down to the tip, or if you sculpt you can put down a layer of clear before your tip color so you can file just the color off, or if its easier for you just file the tip all the way off and sculpt a new free edge. I've also used a thin layer of white between dark & light color (for a paint primer effect) but only when im super short on time as you could get the dreaded "sandwich" look:/

How are you changing colours at the moment? The info above is good advice, there is no reason why you can't completely change the colour no matter what it was before.

thats great thanks- just cant have been getting enough off before and the darker colour underneath was making my new colour appear darker will have another go !

I know this is an old post but didn't want to start a new one for the same topic. I have just done this this morning and it took FOREVER to file through the glitter, by the time I had finished I felt as though I should have just soaked them off! Is this because I didn't use the correct type of glitter or is this normal?

Hun it really shouldn't been such a slog for you to do your backfill or change the colour of your tips....maybe your doing the nails a little to thick..if your having to file so much.

Have you watch the nailangel site by NSI...she does maintanace on a purple(I think) tip..this might be good for you to watch to get an idea how quick and easy it can be
