I carried out a chest and stomach wax yesterday on a man. I have done lots before but not in a while....
He was very hairy, although it wasnt very long, roughly 1 inch on the chest and slightly shorter and finer on the stomach.
He seemed to bleed quite a bit on the chest area and I know this has happened to some people before, is it perfectly normal?

Men can bleed on the chest as it's thick hair on quite a sensitive area, depends what you mean by bled a lot though if he needed stitiches thats not normal

I would have trimmed the hair down to about 6mm to save him pain though as inch long hair is a bit too long.

xxx

Yes,as long as the bleeding was just from the follicle and not torn skin, which it obviously wasn't, then that's fine.

My clients tell me that the chest is THE most painful area to be waxed......even more painful that the scrotum. xx

Yes, blood was just in the follicles, not torn skin! Was just bit worried when I came away as he had never had it waxed before and had been shaving, so would this of made it more painful than normal?

Hahaha this made me laugh.... I always say this to my male clients too when they say 'will it hurt?' then I say.. oh it may be a little uncomfortable.. but actually it hurts more when waxing the chest than the scrotum! .... but they give me that look of horror when the first strip of wax is taken off the scrotum and I know they disbelieve me ....:eek:

With not have a scrotum myself or indeed that much chest hair I can't compare them myself....:green:

Haha! My husband finally submitted and agreed to let me wax his chest and stomach after my telling him it won't be THAT bad.....maybe i'll give it a miss, he's such a wimp anyway when it comes to pain, and ooooh if he saw blood!

LOL......little does he know. Seriously, bleeding is not common but not anything to worry about. It would be just spotting if he bled.

I have, Jen, and trust me - the chest is the worst! But I don't think I flinched when you did mine...

Not a flinch or flicker Ian ... you really are the ideal client...

I had a poor chap in last week who did a little more than flinch... lets just say he was rather vocal, he appologied and said this is how he deals with the discomfort.... but my nerves were in tatters at the end of the treatment... lol!!! However.. he is coming back next month so it can't have been that bad... I think I will just have to get my ear plugs out bless him lol!
