Hi,

I'm currently training, and trying to buy my CND products and in need of a little advise :irked:

Cutlice remover . . . in my training we were told to use cuticle remove before the gel bonder and gel etc, but after reading some CND product information, would I be better off using Cuticle away instead? What do you pros use/think?

Also for the top coat for nail varnish I want to buy super shiney, and just use solar speed spray to speed up its drying time, or would I jsut be better off buying speedy top coat . . . theres also an 'air dry' top coat. Decisions desicions! :green:

Please take pitty on my newbie knowledge and give me some advise :green: Thanks

Both Cuticle Eraser and Cuticle Away remove Cuticle. You were taught with Cuticle Away for a reason ... CND believe it works faster and more efficiently in the prep process. So therefore I would stick to their recommendation. You need to trust what you are taught and that CND HAS YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND.

If you want to get Super Shiney then use Super Shiney :green: ... it is a good effective and protective tiop coat.
Speedy is a fast drying top coat that dose not offer the same protection.
Air Dry is a fast drying, protective and shiny top coat. Take your pick.

Love my Air Dry! It's the best. Good luck! :)

Thank you so much Geeg! There are just sooooo many products out there, it can get confusing, and I want to try and use the best products, so I can give my future customers the best service! So I am taking your advise and ordering the Cuticle Away. Also after much debate, I have decided to go for the Super Shiney with the Solar Spray and see how I go. If it takes a while to dry, I might switch and try the Speedy top coat.

So glad I have you guys here to ask advise :green:

Air dry is fab , love it so so much. I use cuticle remove always in my prep, although when doing a manicure I do tend to use cuticle away (think its this way round lol, ) I usually apply before soaking with little solar oil ontop xxx

I think it's the other way around lol...
Cuticle Eraser is like the 'shampoo' in a manicure, it gently exfoliates the nail plate (while Solar Oil is the 'conditioner').
Cuticle Away is (imo) the 'daddy' for removing cuticle :wink2:

Ha ha, lol few too many red wines for me I think. xx

I need to quickly clarify something I keep seeing in this post-

Cuticle REMOVER and Cuticle AWAY are the VERY SAME thing. Cuticle Away is the new name for the new packaging.

Cuticle ERASER is a retail/take home product for your clients to use- it gently micro exfoliates and conditions the eponychium- Eraser is referred to as shampoo, to be used with Solar Oil, as conditioner, just like what was said above. :) I just needed to put it all in one place, the posts might be a bit confusing lol. ;)

What a sweet analogy that is:lol:

Cuticle eraser and solar oil are a great combo to retail aswell:idea:

Just a quick question, are you currently doing your CND training or is it with another education provider? The reason I ask if it is the latter and you are thinking of doing the conversion course with CND when you are qualified, you actually get all the products you need included with the course (be it foundation or conversion for that matter) for up to I think 20 applications. This includes Cuticle Away. Although that said the products you mentioned are well worth buying now as they are fab. I just thought I would mention it as you said you are trying to stock up your CND products.

I have both and they're fab :green:

Half the info I want is in this post so thought I'd ask here...

I was trained to use cuticle away AND cuticle eraser in a manicure.
I don't really know why? (someone asked but the reply was just that the eraser disolves any cuticle left, but i thought we'd just removed it all!) We soaked, used cuticle away, washed off then applied cuticle eraser and solar oil. before exfoliating etc

We were also told to retail cuticle eraser, what instructions do I give to the client in its use though? Can they use it over product and how often? (I forgot to ask during the training day)

You were taught correctly.

Cuticle Away for removing tough, stubborn cuticle from the nail plate during PREP.

Cuticle Eraser does more than just keep cuticle at bay for the home user or even for the manicurist ... it is also a wonderful moisturiser for the skin surrounding the nail plate for those who have dryness problems in that area (and most do). So Cuticle Eraser does double duty by keeping the plate free of cuticle build up and moisturising dry skin ... clients who use it regularly need next to no cuticle work doing when they come to you for a manicure or enhancements or Shellac.

Clients should use daily in the morning and Solar Oil at night and they can use it while wearing any product on their nails.

Thankyou Geeg!

I trusted I was taught correctly, I just needed to know the explanation, I don't want to tell clients to use it "just cos I was taught that you should" lol

Think I'll stock up on some and convince people it's worth getting into the routine, and maybe combine that with an offer that if they come every 2-3 weeks and use home care that I will offer them their 6th service half price.

see, when armed with the correct information we can build on it :)
