Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could help with a few, shall we say confusions I have regarding training. I have spoken to sweet squared and they have kindly sent out an information pack. I was hoping to do the "nails nat" course first to see if this industry is for me rather than spend out on a full foundation course and finding out to my cost that its not. All being well i will love it and want to go further but this is where my problem lay. I want to learn gel and was not really looking to do anything with l&p. The lady I spoke to at ss said that the l&p must be completed b4 I can go on to the gel course, and to be honest im a bit gutted. Ive heard so many good things about this company and the products but now im thinking maybe I should sack the whole idea. It seems that there is a brick wall in my way at every turn.
Any advice would be great
Thank-you for listening x

You can do gel with NSI or another provider if that's what you'd prefer. You can always then do a conversion course later with CND. Why don't you give some of the other providers a ring and see what options you have.
Don't let this put you off.
Just remember that there is always another way, nothing is impossible.
I started off in holistic therapies, but learning L&P has been the best thing I've ever done, something that a lot of people on here will definitely agree with.

If it really is just gel that you want to train in then I think Ez Flow do a gel only course with there brand called Gel It...there number is...01827 280 080

Thank-you both so much, you've made me feel alot better. I think i need to go away and do a little more thinking. Something tells me this is going to be a long long road. oh well will take the first step on monday with a call to ez-flow.
Thanks again xx:)
Have a good weekend

I first did my training with Star nails (United Beauty), you could choose gel, L&P or fibreglass. I'm now about to do my conversion course with CND as I think with what I've heard and read it far outways what im using now.

It is a long road and not an easy option either. My feeling has always been; if you are in any doubt that nails is the career you would like or if you think you cannot do it ... then it probably isn't and you probably can't.!

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but most all professionals would tell you that they KNEW absolutely that nails was their passion and the KNEW they would be able to do it.

Me?? It never occurred to me for one moment that I would not be good at doing nails. Not for a second. I knew I would master the skills and I never thought it would take 5 minutes to do so because nails are an art form and a very skillful job. I never hesitated and went right after my education which has never stopped in 25 years and I am still learning.
