hi everyone, i have just found a room to rent for my beauty treatments and im soo excited:D. I am going to decorate it to put my mark on it and make it mine but i am not sure what colours to do:?: I quite like the idea of black n white with hot pink and lime green accesories but im not sure if its going to be relaxing (which is what i want) has anyone any ideas for colours or themes.

thanks

How exciting!
Your idea sounds lovely but not very relaxing - more for a nail place or hairdressers. I had mint green and chocolate brown in mine. Or maybe you could just tone down the pink and green and have softer shades, perhaps with some charcoal grey instead of black?

How exciting for you, where abouts are you?

I painted my beauty room lilac & white, lilac towels etc, a lot of my clients comment on how relaxing the room is.

sea & earthy colours are relaxing too, blues, turquiose, jade, greens, browns, beige.

Also to help create the relaxing effect use lots of candles, low lighting, soft music, comfy bed (heated in the colder months) soft blankets, etc.

Or instead of the hot pink & black you could have soft pinks & white, my friend has a room that is all baby pink & looks lovely & relaxing.

Hope that helps

duck egg & beige/browns?
duck egg & silvers?
yellow & golds?

Good Luck!

Just done mine Aubergine and cream. Very relaxing and warm

Mine is cream and chocolate brown with lime green accessories. I find having a darker colour in towels is good, once worked with white towels...total nightmare they show up every little mark!

Good luck in deciding x:)

I really hate black in beauty salons - I think its seeing all that darkness in a place thats meant to be refreshing and relaxing puts me off.

My salon brand colours are fuscia pink, silver and then a neutral colour for large wall areas.

I'm redecorating in a few weeks and I've found some beautiful things in b and q at amazing price!

Check this stunning paper out Colours by B&Q Astbury Wallcovering White 10m, M0289

In the treatment room and tanning room ill put this on one wall and paint the rest white... sooo excired

The butterflies was the first thing I noticed, :D I have quite a lot of them in my beauty room, I love them!
Thats part of my scheme; lilac, white & butterflies!! xx

sounds really lovely and relaxing emma! i just love going to places like that were its relaxing but at the same time has a little colour and creativity. i have the butterfly in my logo and now the paper but think ill do the same as you and incorporate it more throughout the salon.

thanx 4 all your replies just shows every1 has diferent tastes!!!! i ma swaying 2 the neutrals but im such a bright person i love the pink n lime green but i think im gonna have to give it a miss:sad:, maybe 1 day when i get my own shop il have it all bright:D. il off out shoppin this week to buy all the stuff so il let you all know wot i decide many thanks 4 the advice xxxx

well if thats the case then go for what you want - its your salon do it your way - use the pink and lime green but selectively? and use a colour like a cream or white for large areas so as not to close the room in too much, if you love it and it reflects you then other people will feel that way too, dont go to bland if you a lovely bright person

i like lime green and pink or pink and black :) xxx
