I have used this site for years with no probs.

What is saying it's unsafe? If you have a virus -it could be that???

If its freezing then i think it will need formatting .

Hey Guys, Just thought I'd offer my $0.02 here. :) I work for Bay Geeks Computer Services and thought I'd write a quick note.

In my experience, registry cleaners can be like doing brain surgery with a weed wacker... Make sure you know what you're removing because there are so many shared registry entries... remove one thing and several other programs may stop working.

Check you ram (right click on my computer, properties) if your on Win XP and have less than 512 mb of ram... might want to consider upgrading.

Check for spyware with Adaware I'd use the free version. Then I might use spy bot (you can download that from download.com also).

If you don't have a virus program I'd get one and update it, then use it. If you have more than one... I'd pick one and remove the rest (they can conflict with each other).

Avira seems to be one of the better free ones (this month), but Kaspersky has been tried and true, but a little more pricey at $60 per yr.

If all that doesn't make your computer happy, you may want to uninstall the programs that show "not responding" and restart the computer and then reinstall them. If it's still not a happy computer... you may want to consider someone who offers remote computer repair, like we do!

Hope this helps!

binning it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I also use 'Spybot Search & Destroy', which is an excellent FREE prog for the download.com website.

I've had this problem before with AOL, on each occasions all I have done is turned my Zone Alarm Firewall down a notch. Obvously you may not have ZA but its worth trying with any Firewall you may have.
