You know how it is with nails? You lurch from one problem to another in the quest for the holy grail of a consistent set. You dodge the blows from ratios that are too dry/wet, dodgy zone 3s, lifting, tipping, blending, sculpting, form fitting, smile lines and lord knows what else until you're in sight of the winning post, the perfect finish and a whole set that look as though they're actually related to each other!! :lol:

You do the first nail and it's just ok, the second is quite passable, the third is a minor triumph and then you're down in the dumps again by the time you reach the fifth and you're hoping for better things on the other hand. You've read all the books, you do a search on here, you know that practise makes perfect <if you've got the right knowledge to begin with>, you keep up with your training and yet you're still struggling with it. You've got 10 nails that look ok in glorious isolation, but they don't quite cut it when you put them altogether on one pair of hands! :irked:

Any tips from those of you who've managed to successfully cross the 'Finishing' line, please? :)

Don't give up!

Thank you and I definitely won't! :lol:

Anyone else, please? :hug:

The finishing line is like the horizon a beautiful line that your never ever gonna quite touch! :lol:

I wouldn't mind a glimpse now and again, though! :lol:

Me too :lol::lol:

Know just how you feel, just when you think you've got it sussed along comes another problem :rolleyes:

I know what you mean,as soon as you think its going well a client comes in with 5 missing nails and i think where am i going wrong!!!!

aww you know what...I'm in exactly the same position! Everything you have described is me down to a tee :irked: I did a practise on my daughter and I thought they were 'okay'...she's had them on for just over two weeks and when I did the rebalance it took me forever filing the product down enough to apply fresh l&p and I'm really not happy with the results. They're not gorgeous and thin - again, they're just ok :irked:

It is practise to make perfect but I just hope we see the finishing line very soon :hug:

Lol , I love the way youve worded this thread, its like being on a bumpy ride isnt it..up and and down , up and down , wondering when youll ever going to be on the straight..and remain there hopefully.:lol::lol:
