Hi,

I got some Dashing Diva from another nail tech to give them a try but i dont have the glue that comes with. Is there another brush on glue i could use or does it have to be the gelife one? :o. I know normally you shouldnt really mix products but as these are kind of different, i dont know if same rule applies? If i can can somebody recommend one? I use CND normally but i dont see a brush on glue? thanks

First lets define 'mixing' products!!
MIXING means combining two (or more) different things together.Once combined, you have a mixture. This you should not do with L&P say, monomer from one brand with the powder of another. BUT ...

Putting on a tip using a different ADHESIVE is not creating a mixture of anything. Of course you can use any adhesive you want, brush on (for convenience) or not brush on. You can use your CND adhesives. I certainly do.

No DD is not a tip it is like a pre done coat of paint .. much thinner than a tip and a way of making a perfect French manicure very quickly. Do a search .. there have been allot of posts about it.

Thank you, I did do a search but there was nothing about a pre-done coat of paint that i could find which was what I was hoping for rather than a tip.I will order some now that is clear. x

Wendy, they are brilliant! Well worth getting a kit to try them, I got my first kit last week :D
They come in 2 thickness of white, come in a box like what you keep tips in with each one numbered for size like tips, you glue the white smile line onto the top of the nail then cut away the plastic form it is in, & you are left with perfect white smile lines.
Hope that makes sense x;)x

It is not really two different 'thicknesses' of white, but two different lengths of the white. It DOES say on the box 2 different thicknesses but I think it is not only bad English but misleading. It is the LENGTH that is different (one medium and one short). The instructions are included in the kit.

Brilliant, thanks a mill for this, makes sense, I dont have the instructions etc that comes with it as a fellow nail tech just kindly offered to give me some to try so I am not sure exactly as to what they are made with and didnt know if another product could ruin it, but thats great now i know i can use any adhesive, i'll get practicing! Ive watched the video on the website.
