Hi

I've done the nails of the owner of the hair salon where I am renting my room. I did forever french, she's really happy with them, no probs.

Today she asked me to replace a broken one for her which I did, but I noticed that her whites are really discoloured. This seems to be from the colours that she is using, and on a full time basis its not always practical for her to wear gloves.

Is there anything I can do about this? She's not complaining or anything, but it just that I'd like to be able to give her the best set of nails possible, and if I can overcome this for her I'd like to.

Thanks

Hi shelle

Yes... For hair stylists you need to use Gel as a top coat and swipe away the residue instead of using just a Finish(uv)top coat.
Hair Dye will still penetrate the Finish but it will not penetrate the Gel.

Hope this sounds rite ive had a few bollies!!!! lol

There are lots of UV gel top coats out there (you would need a UV lamp)
Brisa CND have one
and there is glaze & go from NSI
if you do a search on UV gel top coats you should find loads of info, i think there has even been a poll to see which one was rated the best,
this is the only way i know of to protect from hair dye hth

I had 2 hairdresser clients and i used glaze n go from NSI and it stopped all the hair colour fron staining the nails.

Hi Hun,
I use Glaze n Go from NSI on all my clients EXCEPT the hairdressers downstairs, their nails go brown with that, so I use thermo sheild on theirs, also from NSI, it sets under my UV lamp in 90 secs, but comes off with non acetone remover, so if it does stain they can just re do it. As it also cures in 3 mins next to an electric light bulb, it just needs heat. So I sell it to clients who want it. Lotsa luv x

I use Young Nails Finish gel and have never had a problem with clients staining, even smokers! x

chemical resistant UV cure top coat (brisa etc)
and lots of nail oil before touching the dyes :)
