Ear piercing

Hi All

We are hoping to do ear piercing in the salon and have applied for a licence. So on Thursday environmental health come out to see us for an inspection on behalf of the licensing dept. i showed them the treatment room where we would be doing the piercing and the officer says we need to get an extractor fan in there so there is a fresh air supply in case the person faints?? I did suggest we carry out the piercing in the shop window like Claires Accessories as by this point she had got right on my wick!

Does anyone else do piercing and how popular is it?? Thought we would charge £10 for both ears piercing does this sound about right or not?

I suppose it does depend on where you are, but I charge £10 and also give out a bottle of solution too.
Its a popular thing where I am and its a quick tenner too.

Did they say how much they would be charging you to have the license?? It was a bit of a shock when I found out it was £250!!!
