Last May, when I went up to Leeds & S2 for my Spa Pedi & Mani Training - by the lovely Kirsten I came away with the most fabulous products - well what would you expect - they are Creative Nail Design Products! However.....
I suffer very badly from excema on my hands, mainly as a result of having an underactive thyroid, but I guess, some of it is cause by my job - filing dust etc.
Kirsten performed a Spa Manicure on me as a demo to all on my course, and I thought - Ooooooh, lovely.
On the drive hme, much later, my hands were still lovely & moisturised.
Anyway, months go by etc. I spoke to Kirsten on this site and said my excema had been much better since my Spa Mani. She had told me about how fabulous the products used in the mani were.
In particular, the Spa Manicure Finishing Lotion, which does contain Ceramides and is just as fabulous as a good quality face cream, but as it's fragranced, is more suitable for hands. She explained to me that, this lotion, unlike stuff I can get form the doctor, helps my skin to moisturise itself.
I guess it tells the skin 'how to work', instead of the dermols & diprobases of this worls doing all the work for you, therefore the skin becomes lazy and does not produce its own moisture.
I have not used it for ages, not really thought too much about it & have been slapping on the steroid creams with gay abandon. Not much improvement either with the sore, bleeding excema. Then I attended The Event - forgot my steroid creams & thought 'Oh bother! I have forgotten my blinking excema cream!' Or words to that effect!!!!! Ahhem!
I went to the Sweet Shop - who could resist?? Saw The Spa Mani finishing lotion & thought - GOOD GOD! That's exactly what I need.
I can tell you, I have used this (and not my steroid & other prescribed creams) at the very most once a day since the Event & my excema, which was cracked deeply, dry, flaking, sore, painfull & bleeding is all but gone! It was on every knuckle, cracked, all over my thumbs & 25% of each of my palms too & itchy like fffs itchy!
My hands are moisturised, supple, hydrated. The excema has virtually gone, but has left moisturised red patches, but vitually gone.
If you suffer from any kind of skin dryness, excema, dermatitis issues - then get this lotion, it's a god send to me.
It will be at the top of EVERY S2 order, whether I need it or not.

Just thought I'd share - Oh yes, BTW S2, put me 2 bottles aside, before they all go out!!!

Forgot to mention --- OMG it smells lush! Like citrus heaven.
Plus there's no late night sqelchy sounds with it when applied at bedtime:eek: unlike diprobase!

Hiya, you've described my own poor hands down to a T, and I nearly howled with laughter at the "squelching at bedtime" bit because my husband always tuts when I'm slapping my cream on my chaffed, scaley excema-riddled hands. And boy do they hurt today!
I'm only a lowly mobile spray tanner and have no idea what events your referring to or where I can get this magic cream. Could you please elaborate on the details for me? Be as basic as you like with the information..... Thanks a bundle xxx

My pleasure.....

S2 - or other wise know as Sweet Squared are the authorised distributors for all CND - Creative Nail Design Products in the UK. You can buy lots of CND products without the CND training - I'm sure this product would be OK for you to buy. If you were a nail tech, you'd need CND Training to buy CND Liquids & Powders & UV Gels.
But give Sweet Squared a call, they are lovely, helpfull & friendly folks and you'll be kissing your scabby hands goodbye!

Oi! Your not anything of the kind! There's no such thing! Your a Professional Spray Tanning Technician!

Yes, you're absolutely right, I am a fully trained and now experienced Spray Tan Technician. It's just that some of you geekies seem sooooooo professional and knowledgeable with 100s of clients offering dozens of treatments with your own salons sharing so much advice and information ..... I feel a tiny bit like the poor relation. I make great cards though and have just been asked to make 75 wedding invitations, my biggest commission yet (and the bride-to-be even brought round the full amount tonight yipeee) xxxx :)

My daughter is 5 and suffers with her Eczema in the winter, I have tried many different things only to find they dont work (after I have purchased full size bottles :irked:) Do S2 do this in a sample size as I dont want to go wasting more money on more products.
I would love to try this on her as the Docs just keep giving me steroid cream for her, one Doc even told me to put it around her eyes & mouth (ok may not seem that bad, but theres no way im putting that stuff on her face!)

Hiya is this just for hands or can you use it on your face. :)

I GET ECZEMA IN AND AROUND MY EARS , WOULD THIS BE OK TO USE HERE TOO:hug:

Solar oil balm and silk are also fantastic,i have too suffered all my life. However it does depend at what stage mine is at.When raw and inflamed nothing but wet bandaging helps but once it's past that stage, when used on a regular basis they keep it at bay,the solar family also helps reduce redening and scarred tissue. hth's

Bev I have exactly the same on my hands, I found that when I went on a low carb diet, it cleared it up, but its sneaking back on the palms of my hands, so will give it a go, thanks for the info mate xxx

Thanks for the info Bev...I'm hoping to put an order in with S2 as soon as I have sorted this months bills out :irked: I'll be adding this to my list of wants because I have contact dermatitis, it's currently under control but occasionally I get the dry tight feeling and I find it hard to clench my fist without it being painful iykwim. Hopefully it'll do the trick for me

Hi I know this is an old thread but I'm just wondering if finishing lotion is now actually cnd citrus hydration lotion or soothing lotion? I have a client with eczema and her shellac isn't lasting with her emollient cream. Perhaps this could be an option.

Curly girl, if you don't find out, Solar Oil is just as good & a good retail op, or plain almond oil alone. Sorry I can't help you with your actual question :(

Thanks for the reply. Geeg answered me in a separate thread earlier too thankyou x
