Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice regarding Electric Nails files? E.g. Whats the best one on the market, where could I get one and training etc.

Has anyone got any bad/good stories?

xxx

Hi hun

This is a question that comes up very often, so I'm sure if you do a search (look at the right corner at the top, type in e-file or likewise) you'll have all the answers you need.

It's very individual which ones people prefer, but you should be able to read enough info to make up your mind..

Thanks for the Tip, I will get right on it xxx

I bought my kupa 3000 (i think) from NSI Manchester and did the training there too. I paid almost £500 for the e-file, file bits and training and it just sits on my shelf collecting dust. I don't like using it and much prefere to hand file but it cost me alot to find that out. If i could go back and do it again then i would book on the course first, borrow one of their e-files (which they had to lend out inc all available bits to try), then decide whether i would like using it before investing in one of my own.

Choosing to use an e file really is a decision you should make after getting as much info as possible. I have used an e file for 15 years now, not as a complete alternative to hand filing, but as and when i felt it would improve my treatments, make it easier on my wrists/hands and of course save time. There are 6 techs at my salon and we all use efiles and would never go back.
Sweet squared are about to lauch a new efile to the market by the world leaders in efiles in my opinion. I am about to get my eyes and hands on it in a few days time, and i'm sure there will be great education to go along with it.

I think Karen's advice is really sensible. I have a Young Nails YN-99 and I love it so much, it is lightweight and quiet and pretty, unlike a lot of e-files that look bulky. I don't use it on the natural nail although with the correct training and bit this is ok, I just think it is quicker to use a normal file. I really do love my e-file though and would not be without it.

Thanks for all the great advice, I was actually looking at the youngs one, I am going to look at a few others and see if I can get some training before I buy.

I would recommend the MT20 Erica Electric Nail File
from 'Advanced Technical Abrasives' from THE market leader you are guarenteed one of the most advanced, reliable and precise E Files available.

Young Nails - Throughout England and the UK - MT 20 Erica Electric Nail File

Young Nails UK have worked with electric nail files for more than 25 years and although we appreciate what a hard decision you may have to make there is one or two considerations you should take into account

1. a guarantee / warranty
2. training
3. repair and servicing

choose wisely and good luck!!

have you ever thought about selling it :?:

The KP 3000 is just about the best efile on the market, so it's hard to imagine why you don't use it. Efiles are a terrific way to save time with correct training.
