How can I make my skin more attractive :( I hammered the sunbeds (stupid) as a late teen early-twenty something's in a bid to have an ever lasting tan, now at 31 my forehead looks awful and my tan has well and truly faded!

What are my best options? I'm thinking some kind of peel then the Botox route ... Always said I wouldn't but I hate this appearance (am I just vain?)

Here's a pic of my awful makeup free fod ... (cry)

I think before you start on the extreme options I would start with a good nourishing facial regime... I'm not an expert but I think you need to start with less invasive procedures... Facials and microdermabrasion may be the best place to start but make sure you mousturize or use a good oil with lots of vitamins in...

I think you are being a bit hard on yourself to be honest!
Your forehead looks a little dehydrated, so as the above poster said - I'd concentrate on nourishing and plumping up the skin with gentle products.
I'm not a fan of botox at all.
Try nourishing, then if you still aren't happy - maybe microdermabrasion?

What exactly are you hoping to achieve? What are your main conerns?

As above posters have mentioned your skin looks dehydrated to me and there seem to be some slight fine lines (nothing half as bad as what you think it is!)

You could do with finding out about a good facial therpist. Go through your options with her. I would be recommending you a homecare routine and go though a thorough consultation with you to see what we can come up with. Facial wise I would recommend something like Iontophoresis which is really hydrating or opt for Micro dermabrasion which is fab for resurfacing and fine lines??

Hope that helps :)

Hi girls, thank you so much for the advice, I can see my skin getting worse as time goes on lol, I forgot that I'd applied a skin smoothing makeup base before taking this pic this morning eeek! I do cleanse, tone, moisturise (most of the time) and exfoliate once a week. I use Decleor for dehydrated skin, night, day and aromessence. Thinking about it now I don't actually drink much water ... Really naughty! I've rang a therapist today who specialises in facial therapies and I hope to get an appointment soon for a consultation, hopefully she can work miracles :D or at least put me on the right track.

I just want a smooth complexion, especially after makeup, I'm just fed up with my skin looking scally :( I suffer with naturally dry rough skin all over my body and I always have suffered, it just really gets me down at times.

Thank you all again for helping xx

it's hard to really pin point what skin issues you have (if any) without getting my hands on it. However, if you are concerned with think rough skin (elephant skin) or premature aging of the skin your best route would be to make an appointment with a skin thereapist and ask questions about microdermabrasion or a specialized exfoliationg treatment over a set amout of weeks. Also, to help maintain any results you get a good home care routine with regular exfoliating, followed with regular facial treatments will make a huge difference in the look and feel of your skin.
GL!

I'd recommend speaking to a salon that does Environ facials as they do a HydraBoost facial which really hydrates the skin. The Vit A in their products helps to normalise the skin and reduce dryness so talk to them about your skin and see what they advise xx

I'm not a skin geek I've just nipped over from nails but thought I would share my thought.
You said you don't drink much water. That was me until about 4 months ago. I could go all day and it wasn't until I'd be getting ready for bed I realise I've not had a drink at all. I just didn't get thirsty. My skin was dry and didn't have any life in it at all.
Now I make sure (read force) myself to drink 1.5 to 2 litres a day and the difference is amazing.
