Morning all & happy new year!

Am hoping someone can give me some advice on waxing facial hair.

I've had a client in for eyebrow, upper lip wax - all good - no worries. However she also wanted some dark, thick hairs waxed from chin/jaw line area. Usually no probs - however she also had a lot of downy hair in this area - basically covering all her chin.

Waxing the whole area is obviously not an option! What would you do?

I waxed the thicker hairs - but felt I have left her patchy if that makes sense - as downy hair was left. I explained this to her, but she was happy to be rid of the thick hair.

Sorry - rambling on a bit!

Any comments gratefully received.

Thanks

I'm sure there was an identical thread recently. Never mind.

Ok, remove the hair from the area.s she wanted in your usual way. Then get a clean wax strip and on the lower third of the strip, just dab some wax at random, leaving lots of gaps. Don't put the wax on too thick.....you want it nice and thin. Then staring where you've waxed, rub the strip onto the surrounding areas at random and you'll then remove just some hair, so you won't be left with a blad patch and then obvious hair. This is blending. You can also use this method on women who have lots of vellus hair and don't want it all removed, but want it thinned out. It works. Try it ! xxx

Many thanks Wax Queen! Really appreciate your advice.
I actually use hot was on the face, but assume it will still be the same principle?
I'm thinking I would benefit from a few lessons from your good self! Are you holding any courses in the new year?

I use hot wax on the face but this is to blend and not really remove. Try it.

Yes, I train all year round so PM me and I'll send details. xxx
