Hi fellow nailgeeks...let me tell you what happened to me yesterday

I had a new customer comming in since her daughter got her nails re-done at my place and she was so happy that she sended her mother aswell.
I have to say that the enhancements on the mom were anything but pretty...from apex placement, using transparent pink to lengthen the nailbed *showing her natural nail*, serious lifting after 2 weeks and broad tips with straight smiles.

I was so convinced that i would make her very happy with the type of nails that i am used to doing. I used cnd's new custom blend warm pink since it matced her skin tone and gave her deeper smiles, pinched the nails to make them straight and slender...i was actually really happy with the result.

But she started to critisize everything from the fact that they looked too natural down to the fact that she was used to having broad nails on the tips and that they were straight now and that she prefered the straight smile.
And constantly looking at her nails even inbetween the scrubfresh prep in the beginning.
I am probably too much used on doing nails how i like them but thats the reason why i get recommended. Next time i will ask my customers do you want natural or fake looking enhancements
Sorry if i am nagging here too much but had to get it off my chest and would feel good to here others stories.

Thx for listening

It does happen every now and then.

Some clients have no taste, all my work is a walking advertisement, so I prefer to beautify nails rather than make them ugly.

Such a shame she didn't appreciate your time and effort.

Now I just send the Sweaty Betty's to the salon up the road, I won't "LOWER" my standards for anyone.

You know you did good, thats all that matters!!!!

You will always get that client that has to have something to complain about

Thx for the patt on the back, I am just horrible in letting things go
But it's good to experience it, next time i will probably be less dumb struck with those comments

i have one just like it!!!
i have managed to rid my few clients of thick white tips - however one who is a good pal of mine always says no to a cbm and states 'i want people to know i pay to get my nails done'.

you know what looks good - but you cant account for the taste of some people!!

It is true that tastes are different and it is what it is. But like nailzoo said all customers are our advertising, so do you do them anyway if someone asks or do you just make an exception since it is your friend?
