Has anyone done a spa day with their other half? Trying to do something that just involves the two of us preferably no drinking, since i had my son two year ago i have took on the roll of mum and thats it not been interested in no one else verging on obsession with him have also turned into a control freak! As you can imagine its caused endless amounts of arguments, so i can either try and fix what i have or stay the way i am. So has anyone spent time like this or have any ideas of what we could do together? thanks for any advice x

If you are trying to get a situation where you can be together and connect for a while a spa day is probably not going to help much especially if you are both having treatments.
Good to help you both relax though and move on to changing things.
Its very difficult when kids are young and you do become just a mum if you are not careful, especially if you are at home all the time.
Sometimes working on yourself for a while and the way you feel will then change things for the better in your relationship.

Hey just a thaught-of the problems u feel is that ur getting realy up tight and that why not arrange a girls night out with some friends once a month or something like that leave ur man to babysit (he could have some friends round with a take away or something after babys in bed talk about man things lol. This would get u out the house and u can discusee things with ur girlfrinds as im sure they probably feel the same sometimes. Or maby you could get a family member to babysit and have a romantic meal out or something with ur man. Or another thaught a weekend away with u ur man and ur little one and have some fun family time together?xxx

What about if you get someone to have little one for the weekend? Then get your other half to arrange a nice day or two out or away? Leave it completely up to him, but ask him to make it somewhere where you can really sit and talk to each other, like you did when you first started seeing each other.

Think i need to do a bit off all your advice, i really need to stop fussing over my little one...we had 5 years of bliss then i went a bit crazy
i think i do need to concentrate on myself and us more...finding it a hard one to get myself in the right frame of mind though cant seem to be bothered trying!

Thanks again for your advice girls, much appreciated xx

i think there is a lot of helpfull advice given and agree with you that you should try a bit of everything as it will do you good to get out with your freinds by yourself to enjoy a bit of you time and be your own person again, having a nice meal out with your other half is great for re connecting and family time is always great,

i have recently been feeling relationship strains i think it is down to the fact that i only have 9 weeks left till the arrival of my baby boy and my bf is starting to feel a little scared although he would never admit this to me so i think i will try out these suggestions as well

i wish you the best of luck and hope everything goes well for you xxxxx

I went to a spa with my other half for his birthday a few years ago.

It was a lovely big spa with different sauna's and steam rooms and all that. We spent a good while swimming and going between the different rooms, then we did a rasul chamber together, then had a facial each. We weren't in the same treatment room though. That would've been better. On our way home we stopped for a lovely dinner. No alcohol involved as I was driving.

We had a great time together and my hubby enjoyed the spa experience too.

Gawd, if I mentioned going to a spa to my boyfriend he'd have his stuff packed and be in the car waiting, he's such a lady, he's always making me give him facials or file his nails

But what better sort of boyfriend could a salon geek possibly have? :green:

Hi, every so often my other half and I go to center parcs, just the two of us. I live near the Thetford one so it's close to home but you feel miles from anywhere, you can go swimming have a bike ride, go out on a boat, or have a game of golf, a few drinks and a meal.
We stay in the hotel, you pay for 3 nights but we only stay two, as we like to get back to the kids. But it's a really lovely place with a great Spa too, loads to do all in one peaceful place.
I would highly recommend it, I hope you get back on track, good luck.xx:hug:

You all are so nice thanks for the advice once again, i think that what i am trying to achieve is what gillian said - am trying to connect with him again dont know if i have just grew up a bit to much for him but theres no fun anymore :irked:. Has anyone been here? Do you think that you can respark the spark or once its gone is that it, i know its not always there and theres a whole deeper picture that happens but i feel we have lost it and that deeper connection isn't there (hope am making sense and not rambling)!

Tweezer Happy can you pm me where you went for your spa day was it in glasgow?

Just wait till he is here bet he wont be able to put him down and he will be wondering why he ever felt scared.

wish you best of luck xx

Spend time together and talk talk talk and more talking, without getting inbroiled in an arguement.
Its hard work but if you want it to work it will. But both of you have to work at it.
I wishes you all the best.

I don't know how far Glasgow is from the sea, however i love being near the ocean,so we go for picnics on the beach, and walk along the seafront, eating ice cream hand in hand, just forgetting the world and the stresses of life:hug:
