hi guys,

just brought some glitter acrylics and tried it on a friend (1st attempt)
just wondered if you had any hints on aplication. i found when filed the nail profile to finish them, i took off some of the glitter. (i did put clear over the top)

i found i had to use a wetter ratio to get it to not be lumpy, but then found i got specks of glitter in zone 2/3. do you use a seperate brush for glitter.

oh and one last thing do you charge extra for glitter if so how much.

thanks guys

xx

Yes I do charge more for glitter, and the more glitter I use the more I chanrge. It has cost you more to buy hasn't it?!
You need to remember to try and keep your glitter/colour as thin as possible so you can build your structure with clear. Make sure you are capping all areas of the glitter with clear and don't be so heavy handed with your filing.
I don't use a separate brush, but you can if you want to but I'd suggest applying all the glitter first then changing your monomer before applying pink/clear.

I charge the same for glitter tips as i do p&w ....

I do have them on special offer at certain times throughout the year.

I use a separate brush for glitter and 2 separate monomers....if you get bits on the nail that u cant get off i would go back and remove with a bit of scrubfresh HTH's

My fee structure is based on how many colors they choose. There is one charge for 2 colors - any two colors, and another charge for 3, etc. It takes an extra time to fade out 3 colors. Time is money!

I don't use separate brushes, but I do put in fresh monomer after I am done with the colors.
