Hi all I have just bought some really cool glitters and have tryed to mix them with creative powders but i am finding it not coming out as a block colour can anyone help me as i would really like the colours to be strong but at present i am only getting a see through mix and the more i add the more i am wasting please help as im not sure what ratio to use and is it best to use clear or creative sheer pink?

i think clear works best.

when i was taught it was 1 part glitter 3 parts acrylic powder.. try half an half or if not swap it round.

R they proper nail glitters?

Glitter is a foreign object that will affect your ratio so follow 1:3 and add slowly, you may have to make a larger amount to get your depth - start with silver glitter as its very popular - green or blue not so much

I use Nail Graphix and you just fill it up to the rim with your powder so Im not sure ratio wise. I use creative powders with these and they work fine. Where did you get your glitters from? Maybe they could help with advisin you what to do? I use pink powder and find it much nicer than using clear. Hth xx

Hi,

As the other geeks have mentioned, the proper mix ratio is 1 part glitter to 3 parts powder. In my opinion clear powder would work best when using glitters.

If you are using very fine, light glitters, like light pastel colours, they will not come up as the colour in the bottle. They will usually come up a shade or 2 lighter, and you may have to make a larger mix.
