Hi guys I have the hywax heater just now, it came with my austrailian body care course kit its temp goes from 90c up to 150c.
The promlem is its driving me nuts as I use 2 tin foil cups and swap each as if I leave wax in it gets to hot to use, but taking it out stiring with both foil cups I think its adding about 20-30 mins on my time! Also the foil cups are really hot to touch even wearing gloves and end up out of shape so towards the end the wax is not melting properly
I love the fact that it the cups are thrown away after so really hygenic, but thought would I be better getting something like the hive heater I have for cream wax and just using a new spatula for each dip? or would this be a waste? Would probably use between 6-12 spatulas.
Just wondered if anyone could recommend a better heater?
Thanks xx

Spatulas are very cheap. I don't know how much the foil trays are but I would imagine they could be more than the cost of 6-12 spats?

My preference for heaters is Hive. I use both the 500cc and 1000cc.

I always think it is much harder to regulate temperature when you only have a small amount of wax.

I agree and i personally have found the digital heater extremely good and you can swap the inner buckets so you can have one for soft and one for hard wax and simply swap them over. There is a fast heat setting if you are in a rush and that really works the treat!

Thanks ladies! thinking perhaps the hive 500c does it have a lock lid? and also as I'm used to my heater how long does it take to heat to the correct temp, and can you leave it on a specific setting (I ususally have my warm wax on at about 3 depending on temp of room)
Thanks xx

Hi Sarah

Yes the 500cc heater does have a locking lid. Hard to say how long it takes to heat up because it depends on what temperature you start at, for instance, if you are short of time you can speed melt it on high as long as you keep an eye on it(!) and stir it and then turn it down to stabilise the temp.

I personally think if you are using more than one type of wax, you need more than one heater. It's all very well swapping the buckets but if you are doing a leg and bikini it's just not pracical as you need both waxes ready at the correct temp.
