Hello there. my baby was born at 26 weeks also weighing 1lb 9oz (710g). She is 4 years old now with no problems at all. She was in the Special Care Baby Unit for 3 months and came out around her due date weighing 5lb 6oz. It's an emotional time until they come out, one day things go right and the next they can have had a little setback but it's amazing what they can do for them now and they will get strong at the end of it. It's not your fault. I tried to do everything right, non smoker and eating all the right things, but it made no difference, I still got pre-eclampsia. Maybe things happen for a reason. My little girl is fantastic and so happy and tough, I believe this is because she has been a little fighter right from the start. Hope this has helped a little bit. Belinda.
